Member Services ?

I am a newer owner (direct Disney VGF) & I am planning a trip for next month but I am paying out of pocket. If I am looking to place a request (AKA building/location) can I call DVC member services or is it only for DVC transfers/points/etc? Since I am going more frequently, I want to be certain I connect with the right people~who will help to make trips more enjoyable & efficient. Thank you!

Member services only deals with point reservations, or if you're doing a member cash reservation. If you booked cash through the regular Disney hotel site that is who you will contact about a request.

if you have extra points -- member services does a service where they will book your FIRST DVC reservation for you and they will book you something out of their own inventory...so even if there is currently no inventory showing as available, they can normally make it happen. Might save you some serious cash if that is an option.

They’ll do your first booking.

In my case, I bought resale, booked a stay, and then added on a month or two later. Since I already had a booked trip, they wouldn’t do the first booking magic, since I had already done a booking.

Basically, you make a request for a reservation just as you are getting ready to sign on the dotted line by the palmtrees. If they can't get you a reservation, no signature.
