Last week I found out we were going to be unable to go on a planned spring break trip. Since it was a peak week and 10 days it was 400 points. We had borrow lots of future points to cover it. We were so bummed to that we couldn't travel but also that we were not going to be able to use the points during this use year.
Since we borrow the points we were also not going to be able to go next year because we wouldn't have any points.
I contracted with a rental company to rent out our points. When I called DVC to make the reservation they helped me make the reservation and at the end of the call they inquired why we had so many points in this use year. I told him and he offered to refund all our borrow points back to the future year.
This is like a Christmas dream. Not only did we sell the current year points but DVC unborrow the future points.
They didn't have to do that - this is exactly why I love DVC. Customer for life.
