Member Services --- Hold Time

I've needed to call Member Services several times in the last few weeks, and it seems to not matter when I call that I've had to wait 10 to 30 minutes for each call.

I called MS at 1:30pm today to add another day to a ressie I made online this morning. I got a recording that the wait would be about 35 minutes, so I hung up and called back at 5:20pm just before closing time. The wait was only 8 minutes. So, I guess we should either call early or call late. :thumbsup2

You can also go online and reserve the extra night then send MS an email contact form via the member website to add the new night to your existing reservation.

25 minutes hold yesterday. I tried through chat but could not do what I needed to do online or by chat - I tried.

Only a 10 minute wait today, unfortunately the Cm doesn't really know what she is doing and i will need to call back! :(

That's unusual but it happens. If it happens tell her you would like to speak to a supervisor. It is all on tape so they know what was said.

Also, the belief I have is that DVC has cut their in-house staff so everyone will use the website. The problem being there are things the website cannot do like change names on reservations or make non concurrent wait lists.

You can make these requests using the contact form on the website. I don't call unless I have to.

I called on Wednesday at noon (EST) and am happy to report no wait! I think I stumbled over my words when the CM came on because I was expecting a 20 min wait!

I called today, Saturday, at about 9:00 AM Pacific. I got a 7-minute wait estimate, but it took about 8. I thought that was okay. I just put the music on speakerphone and kept making breakfast :).

Speakerphone and "putter" around the house doing "stuff"!:)

Gotta maximize time!:thumbsup2

At. 4:00p yesterday no wait! I was actually shocked when I heard a real voice instead of the typical recording :)

I called MS Tuesday. I didn't wait at all. Funny, I almost forgot what to say- I expected a long wait. Like when you call someone and expect it to go right to voicemail and they pick up.

I guess I got lucky

I think they must have deployed some of the new CM's that Disneynutz has been talking about. I called Sunday afternoon around two to make a change to a reservation, and was told that my estimated wait was 3 minutes, and that is about how long it was. My wife called yesterday to add two days to an existing reservation around noon yesterday, and had no wait time!

3 minute wait on Monday (8/11) midday.

I'm hoping that it means most of the MDE/MB issues have been resolved and so they are not getting as many of those calls anymore. Those MDE issues are the ones that ate up all the time and caused the long hold times.

I recently found out that depending on what callers select on the phone tree it can affect their hold time. I called to buy tickets for a hard ticket event and had no wait. Forgot to check on a reservation, called right back selecting a different number and had a 12 minute wait.

Might be that that different groups are staffed differently or that revenue generating calls are answered faster.
