Just checking the DVC member site for the latest member perks, particularly dining discounts, and I am wondering just how up-to-date the site is.

It still mentions a discount at CocoMoka, Virgin Megastores, which is obviously now closed.

Also, no mention of discount at Sanaa - is that true? Can anyone confirm if members get a discount at Sanaa.

And does anyone know if there are any discounts off Rainforest cafe at DTD or is it just the AK one? What about T-Rex? Sorry to ask so many questions but I thought (hoped) the member website would be up-to-date and I'm not sure now that it is.

Hi Joh,

I know it's 10% of adult meals at T-Rex because I used my card there in April. Not sure about the others although I've still got the booklet they gave us at check-in so I can have a look when I get home tonight.

They definitely don't update them 'real time' because Spoodles breakfast discount is still listed and Spoodles is now only open for dinner. Also, I'm surprised the 20% lunch discount at Chef de France is still offered since remy is now there and as a result that restaurant is much more popular.

Rainforest café at DTD and T-Rex are 10% of lunch and dinner entrées. Nothing in the Portable Perks I have got regarding Sanaa, but then it is only for January to June.

I emailed Disney about the Member Perks being out of date (still gives pool hopping hours for 2008 also!), and got a generic ' we are constantly updating the features on our website, please check back again' answer. I wonder of personnel cuts have impacted the quality of the website?

That's exactly why there probably won't be a discount. They only offer discounts when they're necessary to increase business, not to reward members. The Turf Club at SSR doesn't offer a discount and it's a mediocre restauarant at best, but it's the only sit-down restaurant at the resort so why would they offer a member discount?

Portable Perks (you get when you check in) is published quarterly, so it probably has better updates. They aren't so good at updating the website (like the pool hopping info is still from 2008).

Could you have Disney mail you a current copy of Portable Perks (the copy they would give you if you were staying at a DVC resort)? Would they do this? When we were first looking into buying a DVC membership, Jim McCoy sent us everything, from the Dream Book with all the DVC info, to the portable perks which expired in December 2008 (this was last summer).
