Member Cruise booking question

Just wondering if anyone knows how much it is for a single person on the Member cruise in a cabin?

Here's the scenario...originally we were going to book a 5A for the bahamas cruise (myself, DH and DD11). Going to use points for first person, then cash for 2nd and 3rd (DH would be points, I would be 2nd double occupacy rate, our DD getting the cheaper 3rd person rate).

Now MIL is coming as well so we will be booking 2 rooms. Is it cheaper to book her alone in one room...or should we move DD into her room where as they both cost the double occupancy rate?

A single pays twice the 1 person rate on DCL. It would be cheaper to book two rooms with 2 in each. Your DD would be paying the adult rate.

I will be getting on the phone asap on Sunday morning...here's hoping we can book two connecting 5A cabins!

When booking, can they guarantee you connecting cabins? I'm trying to decide whether to do a cat 4 for the 5 of us, or 2 cabins, but they really would have to be connecting. I can't do it if that's not guaranteed.

Keep a deck plan in front of you. They should know, but double check. I must say that my DS's family was not happy with the Family Stateroom with veranda. The 5 of them had always had connecting staterooms before last August. They missed the 2 bathrooms a lot! If they ever sail again it would be with connecting rooms. Kids were 9, 10 & 11. Everyone just seemed to be on top of each other.

I will be sure to book a room that does not connect....save the connecting ones for you! Well, which cruise are looking at? We're going for the 4 night.

Thanks! We're going for Alaska. We've talked about doing an Alaska cruise for about ten years, and I've always secretly wanted to do a member cruise. This is the first member cruise that's not when my kids are in school (last day is the Friday before), and it being Alaska is perfect for us. I'm just hoping that no other obligations pop up that week. (Like the ice storms this year that added three days to the end of the school year.)
