Member Cash Reservations at HHI

I just booked five nights on points at HHI for June of 2009 (Sunday through Thursday) and plan to book the other two nights of our week on member cash. However, the cash rates for June 2009 are not our yet and I couldn't make the reservation yet.

Does anyone have an idea when the cash reservations might be available to be made at HHI for a June trip? The reservation agent thought September, but he didn't sound especially confident.

I don't know an exact date, but last August I was able to make a member discounted cash reservation right at 11 months for a July, 2008 reservation for a HH GV. I'd sure try again in a couple of weeks, but it's possible that the cash rates may not be available for 2009 until September this year.

First time I called they said member cash wasn't available for the first weekend of June. Next day I called back to add a day and asked about member cash for Friday and Saturday and he booked it!

Please let us know when you are quoted the member's cash rate. We always go Sun-Thur. and would very much be interested in the possibility of adding on a Saturday before or Friday after. Also, what is the building in your avatar?

WebmasterDoc- Would you happen to recall what a cash night in the GV ran you? That is the size unit we would be adding onto.

I'd be glad to let everyone know when cash ressies for June are available if no one else does first.

mgrebenc - that's a building on the campus of my alma mater, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio - hence the "M".

That building is Pearson Hall, located on the corner of High Street and US27 (I think the street is called Patterson at that juncture), near East Quad.

I hope your DS is enjoying his time there - I graduated in 1994 and loved my time there in every way!

UPDATE!!! This morning I was able to book our trip on cash at HH!! WooHoo!!! I wasn't sure I would be able to, gave the CM my info, dates and then was put on the usual 10-15 minute hold that has happened EVERY time I have called and then....she said she could book it. Of course, I have no rate yet, they haven't been released, and hopefully when they are, the DVC rate will kick in (we don't own there and hope to get as many days as possible on points at the 7 month window), BUT I have a confirmed ressie and I am over the moon!!! Yippee, I am going to my happy place for 10 days next summer!!! Anyway, enough about me, just wanted to let ya'll know so you could call. Good luck!!

Thanks so much for the update. What dates did you reserve for?

I will definately try today, and if the CM won't let me reserve I will call back and see if I get a different agent who wil!!

Good luck with your ressies! This was probably my 6th call to Member Services over the last couple of weeks, and a different CM each time. We were able to make this type of ressie last year on the first call, no problem even though the rates weren't out. They just sent us our confirmation and when the rates came out, we received another confirmation with the DVC rate on it. This year was very different. Let us know how it goes.

I called on Thursday to book my last two nights at HHI on member cash and they told me to call back today, as it is 11 months from the first night of our cash stay (June 26). I dutifully called at 9am and was able to book our last two nights in cash!

Thanks for the info! We always do a 2 BR on cash with the DVC discount. We'll be there next week!!
