Member card has wrong "member since" date

I was just wondering why our new member cards have tghe wrong Member since date on them. Does that matter? It has 07/05 but we just joined.

I believe if you buy from someone other than DVC directly (i.e. The Timeshare Store) it stays as the date of the original buyer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

You're right.

However, all of my TTS purchases received new cards 2-3 years later with the corrected date. I never requested them, they just started showing up. Also, I got 2 of each card, even though I am the only user on the contracts. That may be due to the fact all of my memberships are corporate owned.

All of the cards I've ever had listed the original purchase date and not when I joined for that contract.

Same here and I've never received a corrected one "down the road" either.

Anything I bought resale had the original purchaser's member since date. I also did not receive "corrected" cards later.

I bought Boardwalk thru Disney in 2005, My card says 2005.

My first set of cards from when I closed in Sept had the older date of the contract I purchased. Last week received new cards with my start date.
