We just got back today, we went to the first one last Tuesday. All members of the family from 9 to 45 had a great time. There was plenty to do, and alot of great gifts/prizes. It was very well organized.

I went to the block party on 7/5, and was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it crowded there was alot to do, with several games, and you got two tickets in your envelope for goodies(ice cream, cotten candy, etc). Lemonade was free. In the envelope was the coupon for the DVC baskets--one of the people who won wasn't even a member! She had come with someone who was a member. It was a huge basket, all DVc merchandise. I saw a hat, alarm clock, shirt, towel, etc. It would definitely be a chunk of weight to lift. There was a coupon for a drawing at Arribas Brothers at the end of the summer--you need to go into the shop to deposit the tickets, and the box is hidden. The wristbands were also to get you into Pleasure Island that same night for all members of your party. Everybody was very friendly, and the DVC CM's seemed pleasantly surprised by the turn-out.

Went to the member party at Pleasure Island last night, July 12. We had a great time. 15 year old son played the free video arcade games most of the time and we hung out at the club Motion where DVC had things going on. When we got there they were doing a Disney trivia game for prizes and then later on they had a DJ that played music and people danced and had a great time. They also had carnival games outside going all the time and all the ice water and lemonade you wanted. Also, after the DVC party was over they said the blue wrist bands we got when we entered the party were good for the whole night when Pleasure Island opened up for regular hours. That would cost you around $20 a person regularly for an evening there.

We thought it was a great party and well organized. Now, I don't know what the younger kids kept busy doing since mine is 15.

We also went to the first block party on July 5th and were pleasantly surprised. The free carnival games and video games kept the young ones busy. We got there right when it started and I was glad we did. By five or so, there were lines at all the carnival and arcade games and the line for the massage was so long, we didn't bother waiting for it. Had a great time though, spent the whole two hours there and then went to the clubs later on that night. We had DS20, 18 and 13 with us. We got the wristbands and then had to go into a club with them so that they could get their hands stamped. It was no problem bringing DS13 with us to the comedy club and the older ones went on their own.
Definitely worth stopping by!

We plan to be there Aug. 23rd. Our guests want a day at Universal, so we told them to pick that day, we'll stay and join the party!

We too will be there on Aug 23rd! We have one "real" DVC member and myself but I'm just an associate member. Will there be any problem getting our group of 6 in to the party? Also is there anything for 10 & 12 year olds to do at PI afterwards?

I just looked at the pictures. Gosh, I hope I remember to show up! We have 3 nights at WDW and 2 at VB, I just cannot wait until I can book longer vacations like some of you guys! We don't do things commando or anything, but I just don't know where the time goes when we're there. 5-7 on August 23rd, I do hope we make it.

We went to the party tonight. The kids (ages 7 & 9) loved the FREE arcade games. Where do you get to play unlimited in an arcade without having to place quarters or tokens in the machines? We arrived at 5:30 PM. Received an envelope for each member in our party. Included in it was a cute DVC pin that lights up. Also two snack coupons for popcorn, cotton candy or ice cream. Lemonade was also available. There were three additional games - a water shooting game, basketball and hit the something with the hammer and see if you can make the ball go to the top. There was a family Disney trivia game at 6PM with three families picked to participate. Lots of mingling and the 5 minute massages were upstairs. Didn't take advantage of those as the line was long. All in all a great time and we are glad we attended. You do receive a wrist band allowing you access to ALL of pleasure island (a 21.95 value!) but we are not the club scene family so we left after the party was over. For those of you looking for a nice break from the parks this is it.

I attended the July 12th party. They would give each person in your group PI wrist bands and gift envelopes ( 2 food tickets and raffle tickets). The massage was worth the wait about 25 minutes at 6:15 it appeared to be alonger wait earlier in the evening. I think the event was more for children with the free arcade and carnival games. Not much to do for childless DVCers.

PI did seem to have more children there that night then I had previously noticed in the past, but it was not very busy.

Also if you really want to win the raffle make sure you stay the entire time. 1 winner that not was not there when her name was drawn and they reraffled her prized.
