Member “First Wave” Sailing on the Disney Treasure - Booking Questions

Greeting All! We are a family of two adults and a 7 year old trying to sail on the Treasure as our first DC. I have a few questions about the "first wave" booking and would appreciate any guidance possible from existing members.

1. Does the member cash price listed include port fees, taxes & gratuities?
2. Can a third person be added a few weeks after the reservation is made? are there penalties?
3. Similarly, can the travel parties names be changed, if needed?
4. If we add a second stateroom for in-laws, will one person in that stateroom have to be paid with dvc points?
5. Are there additional charges i should expect (other than additional cash gratuities onboard), or is it like when we check out of DVC with zero additional charges?
6. Does DCL allow passengers to bring a limited amount of champagne/wine/water onboard?
7. Can i use Disney Gift Cards to pay part of cash rate for fare and onboard expenses?

Gratuities are not included. I don't know what you mean by the "member price". Are you doing a DVC cruise?

If you're in a refundable cabin or a cabin that can be modified, then yes, but it will be based on the prevailing rates at the time and repriced.

3. Similarly, can the travel parties names be changed, if needed?

depends on the specifics

can't speak to these as we haven't booked on points and don't want to lead you astray.

yes. 2 bottles of wine/champagne I believe. Not sure what the water policy is.

You can bring on unlimited amounts of non-alcoholic beverages, but you can’t put them in checked luggage. As mentioned above, each adult can bring on 2 unopened bottles of wine or champagne (up to 750 ml in each) or 6 bottles of beer (up to 12 ounces in each).

You can add guests without penalty up until a few months before the cruise. However, there is a chance that even if your stateroom has space, the maximum lifeboat capacity for the area could be reached and you would not be able to add another person to your room.

It is a lot easier to remove people from your reservation than to add someone. I'd go ahead and include the 3rd person when making the reservation and then remove them if they decide not to go.

@bobbiwoz, can you help with any of these questions? I haven’t cruised via DVC points or on a member cruise, so I don’t know!

Hi!…We did book the charter cruise on the Wish. The price included port fees, taxes, but not gratuities.

I do Think each room has to have one person booked on points.

If you don’t buy anything, only gratuities will be on your bill.

Regarding using gift cards. If you give them more gift card money than you use, the remaining money gets put on the gift card, so be sure you keep it straight.
