Mel's Pre-trip Report: Interactive Version

So, WHO votes for us leaving the kids and going back alone? ME! Who else? And what are your favorite drinks in the WS?

I say if you are comfortable with it, do it! It will be nice for you and DH to have some alone time and to tour World Showcase "adult style".

I have not had any drinks in WS but I have a Fiesta Margarita from Mexico, Saki from Japan and a Grey Goose slushie from France on my list of musts.

Do you guys agree with our choices for rides in the Future World side? What do you guys ALWAYS do? Any you skip? Why?

I think your ride selections are great as posted above.

Ellen was used as a rain escape for us but unfortunately as you know we still did not escape the rain that day. :sad2:

And what are your favorite drinks in the WS?
Dry sake in Japan. A Black & Tan from Rose & Crown. Margaritas in MX.

We ALWAYS do SEE. Over and over and over and over. ;) I, too, like Maelstrom (it's a FastPass?! heh heh), but Leo's on a "too scary" kick this year. We always check out the stores in China and Japan. And we always see LWTL. ::yes::

DAY FIVE......CONT.

OR, OOPS I HIT SUBMIT................

Sorry guys. Spastic Fingers! :rotfl2:

I love the ride in Norway. Sorry, I know some people don't. I do. It's fun. As long as you skip the movie part after and walk STRAIGHT thru that little room with the benches. :cheer2:

Looking forward to your posts!

:rotfl2: I thought we were the ONLY ONES who did the "redneck thing " there and walked stright out the door. Sat throught it One time 20 years ago. I know the kids would not enjoy it espically my Joshua ( autism + informational movies= a BAD TIME FOR ALL)

Our ALWAYS rides are SEE, Soarin. and Test Track. Now with Jimmy along on our adventures we have to do Figment and Nemo.

UofE is good for a nap. We avoid Honey I Shrunk the Audience at all costs.

Ditto here on most. We rode nemo.. did not cut it here... and for what ever reason the kids like "Figment"

We are usually good for 3-6 soain rides... 3-6 on Test track. 2-3 on "mission Space" .. the wimpy version.

We missed Test Track and Mission:Space last year. We collected the fast passes, we just never ended up going. I am making it a mission this year to at least do Test Track. :thumbsup2
You did what :faint: You even had fast passes :faint: :rotfl2:

Definitely leave the boys behind :rotfl2:

OK our must dos, surprisingly TT :rotfl2: MS(green side) Nemo, Turtle Talk, your boys would probably enjoy building the robots in innoventions too :thumbsup2

That sounds like a plan for me. I could ride Soarin all day and I love me some Test Track, but DH didn't like it. He's not one for thrill rides. He loved the green side of Mission Sinise though! :)

I'm just hoping DD4 is 40 inches by October so that we don't have to deal with the baby swap thing. She was 39 at her appointment in February, so I think she will be 40 by October. If not, I'll find some flip flops with thick soles!

I could ride Soarin' all day also if they served beer on the ride... oh, and hot dogs. :thumbsup2

Okay - I know I am late, but I agree with Janet on the food - Mexico Counter service and Le Cellier TS. I see you already decided, though.

Epcot -I think you have it all covered. The last time we were there, we also went into Innoventions, which we do not normally do.

V, you've got me baffled on that one ...LWTL ....I can't my mind to think in "letters." Help!

Nope, we redneck it too! :thumbsup2

Can I get an AMEN!? :thumbsup2

Hmm....multiple rides on each? WOW! We are lucky if we get on TT twice!

Yes! Unfortunately, that only works with girls. Poor Gus had to resort to TALL HAIR! :scared1:

Um, yeah, and a potty. :cool1: Could get messy!

Did you like it? As I said above, we've skipped it every time. Guess I"ll have to check it out this time. :rotfl:

You need to hang with us... we use fast passes and sometimes have to use Joshua's Special needs pass... which usually allows us to use the fast pass line. We make beelines for the following rides...

The "Triple Mountain Whammy"
Test Track
Soarin
Expedition Everest

After that we alternate the "fast passes" and his Special Pass.

It allows him to have fun.. as he can not handle the long lines. It used to bother me using it. (First year we went we did not get it.. and it was a rather rough trip. )But with his Autism lines and crowds are tough. The CM's at "City Hall" told me to just use it.. he deserves to be a "normal" kid for a few days.

Sometimes we have gotten a fast pass and handed it out to someone in the park who looked really frustrated and passed off some "Pixie Dust". We do not abuse his card... but I will flash it so he can "play". It's an option and I am SOOOO Very Thankful that Disney has this.:yay: :yay:

:offtopic:

I know there are people out there that will be upset that we use a "Special pass" .. I tell them if they say something.. "Your kids are normal and healthy 365 days a year.. they can play sports, and will have girl friends/boy friends and friends in general. You can leave them alone and go out for a date with your hubby at some point in your life, and eventually get married. I see none of that for us and Joshua. So for 7-10 days a year.. I will give him all the Pixie Dust that I can. " That usually shuts them up.
O.K. Sorry I hijacked your Thread Mel... But seriously.. I could grab you a fast pass for something.

That's OK Katt!!! I don't think we'll be at MK long enough that day for it to matter... but thanks! :thumbsup2

:cool1:

Jimmy does okay with Figment, as long as I remember to put his ear plugs in:rolleyes:

That train is SOOOO loud!

MEL:banana:

Were you too young?

Nope, I was 23, I guess I just never thought about it or took the time the time to enjoy a nice adult beverage in Epcot. My mom did get a maragrita during Illuminations and we shared that. :thumbsup2

I vote for Margeereetas! Just had to get my vote in there. Oh...and margeereetas taste better sans kiddos!

Living With The Land :thumbsup2 Oh, Duh! :lmao:

Ditto - Leo hates the train and won't set foot in Journey. I've never even chanced HISTA - I know what that outcome will be! :scared:
skip it V! I hate the big snake. Leo will too!

Smart boy that Leo. I hate the mice part of HISTA:scared:
Oh yeah, and the mice!

I forgot about the potty... :scratchin
Silly Buzz! A woman would NEVER forget the potty! :yay:
