Melissa's Planning Journal - Feb 8th, 2008 - Final Update Before Leaving

So today was the first day I've had completely off in a few weeks. I went to Lake Chaubunagungamaug (aka Webster Lake)
to hang out with a few friends and when I started becoming a bit burnt I started to put together our Wedding Notebook with all the information that will be needed for our Wedding/Honeymoon.

I'm also having pages listing all our confirmation numbers, important phone numbers, packing lists, contracts, and I'm starting to make an interesting fact list for Shaun's family about the parks and a hidden mickey search for their hotels (well, just the WL since I know thats where Shaun's parents are staying, I'm not sure about his sister or grandmother yet)

So I made all the dining reservations for the trip, well all that I could.
Only ones I didn't made yet were for Raglan Road and for Tutte Italy.

I'm really excited for California Grill at 6:30pm on Valentine's Day.

And CRT on the 10th @ 5:15pm

We also purchased our plane tickets from Jet Blue. We arrive at 10:15am at MCO on the 5th and we leave at 1:10pm on the 16th.

I got confirmation today that my dress should be in the first week of November! I'm excited.

Also, there should be a dis meet on Feb 13th at the Adventurer's Club that I'm planning on going to now.


Just waiting to make reservations for Yak & Yeti and Tutte Italy. I should make the ones for Raglan Road soon.

I should have veil pictures this weekend.

I went shopping for my rehearsal dinner dress Saturday instead of veil shopping. Found one I loved for $39.99 at Sears. Please excuse the solemn look on my face. I've been writing all afternoon and just had a 'discussion' with the roommate.

It may also be used for the Party of the Senses in October.

You chose a grat spot for your wedding..you have a great photographer..I cant imagine the great shots you will have!!!

Thanks! My dress is actually ivory accented rather than red but it happened to be the only picture I could find of the dress online.

I'm having my reception at Victoria & Albert's at 5:30pm in the Fireside Room. Where are you planning on having yours?

Tuxedo:

Shaun and I finally sat down today to discuss what he's going to be wearing. We are going to order from Carolyn Allen's Bridal since they will deliver it.

We are going to be doing this one:


Except, he's going to have emerald green for his vest since that color looks really good on him and he didn't want an ivory vest.

We haven't done pricing yet. Shaun's calling next pay check to find out the pricing. YOu have to order online I think at least 30 days in advance. They will come out to your resort for a fitting & will deliver it to you. You then drop it off at the bell hop the next morning before noon.

Shaun went back to work today so I was finally able to get some pictures of my dress taken.
I'm just happy to have my dress in after the drama of having to deal with my bridal shop closing down and thus being able to order the dress direct from the manufacturer.

The dress fits like a glove. Only problem is the top is a bit loose. The straps are a bit too big thus my chest is a bit over exposed. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I should be going to Carver before Shaun is so I'll go to his mother's shop and we can get that fixed.

So I finally picked out my veil! (Took me long enough) I bought it off of ebay and should have it soon.



I also went through my wedding bag of stuff and saw what I have...

Tiara/Headband:

I'm leaning towards using the headband more so than the tiara, but once I get the veil I can play with my hair and see what I like better.

Other Hair Things:

I will bring them in and let the hair stylist choose as she pleases.

Wine Charms I bought everyone while I was Africa:
