She wouldn't be the first or the last woman to grab a baby in the middle of an argument, it's pretty common actually. He claims she was shaking the baby and got hurt when he was trying to get the baby from her. True or not, flip it around, a man grabs a baby in the middle of a fight, the mother would do whatever she had to get the baby out of harms way. Doesn't sound so bad if a woman were to get physical in the name of her child does it?

As to his camp not denying it, doesn't mean they're validating it. Silence is golden and they very well could be waiting for her to twist herself up. As nasty as he sounds if she's been continually taping him without his knowledge and most likely doctoring those tapes it'll come back on her in the end. Why defend something you believe doesn't need defending?

Mel has held & taken care of 7 babies to the 6(?) months she had the one.


Also said on Joy Behar, paraphrasing as I'm not sure I got this part right, but, someone on her panel said he doesn't have to deny it yet. If it gets tossed out of court as being inadmissible, (in essence invalid,) he might never have to publicly deny it. The courts will have kind of done that for him, so to speak.

Well his agency dropped him, if there is a time to defend something it was last week. Now its just too late for anything.

Joy said he still has his publicist, who had been with him during his drunken, anti-Semitic rants a few years ago and handled that.

Yes, Joy mentioned that too. So Mel has no one really in his camp at the agency any more. This, after all the money he made for them during his Lethal Weapon days and all his other box office hits which helped make William Morris what it is.




I always thought that relationship was off. She comes here from Russia. Hits the jackpot in having Mel listen to a music tape of hers. Then he produces it. She ends up in a relationship with him and "accidentally" gets knocked up by one of the richest men in Hollywood. Her child and herself now are set for life. Welcome to America. Now, all she has to do is get the very involved father out of the picture so she can raise the kid by herself, her way.

For the sake of argument, what if she IS telling the truth and he is a crazy person and this was the only way she could get someone to believe her. Mental abusers make the victim think that they are superior and nobody will believe them anyway and frankly come off to the rest of the world as a great person. If she has been going through that it makes perfect sense to me why she would tape those conversations.

I have absolutely NO sympathy for her. She's getting what she bargained for. She broke up his marriage, had a kid with him, and now she's getting paid for being spiteful.

Oksana, I don't have a lot of respect for. She does not deserve to be abused, either mentally or physically though. No one does. Mel has just gone over the deep end. He is nuttier then squirrel crap.

I heard a portion of the tapes and agree that something sounded a bit strange. Her part of it sounded almost like a voice-over done by a language translator (matter of fact with no inflection in the tone.) If it is not altered and that is in fact her, she sounded very calm and in control, which is not surprising since she knew it was being recorded but I think it still sounded too calm. I also don't think it sounds too much like Mel. I am not trying to defend him at all, I am only basing this on my impressions of the voices themselves, not the content of what was said.

As for what was said, well it's not justifiable at all, the words or actions that were discussed. It will all come out in the end and I think Mel and his career are over if any part of it is authenticated.

I honestly think Mel sounded drunk on that tape. I have an aquaitance who lives in FL who calls me about once a month, usually drunk, and he sounds just like Mel, almost word for word. He says thinks about his ex wife like "who earned all the money and then took it all, she did" I had to laugh because Mel on the tape said "who did all the work and then who took all the money, you did, that's who"
I didn't really hear any signs that would lead me to believe in psych problems, I have dealt with many psych issues in my years in nursing, he didn't sound bipolar, or like he had psych issues, just sounded drunk to me.
And, once I did almost the same thing to my ex that Oksana is doing. He came over and started fighting with me. I stayed calm and just said "you are right, I am wrong, I should know that you would be right and I wrong" I kept saying it in a calm voice and it really got him madder. Enough that he gave me a small slap on my cheek. First and last time I ever called the police. He had to go to anger classes. I am not proud of it, and just really bugged him past his breaking point. I can see that Oksana knows his breaking point and brought him to it before turning on the tape. I don't think there is any innocence in what she did, I feel she planned that for her advantage.

Wow. I just listened to the tapes for the first time.

Here's my take.

She sounds like she's kind of playing along to get him to talk, though at times she responds in a sincere manner.

He does not sound drunk at all. There is no slurring of his words, that I could hear. What he sounds is absolutely enraged and mentally ill.

I can't stand him. I think he's a racist pig, but I don't think that clouded my judgement on the tapes.

That's strange. I've dealt with someone who has bipolar and has called me enraged, and it sounded just like him.

I think he showed his true colors a few years ago when he was caught saying awfuls things during that traffic stop. People gave him a second chance and now he shows himself again.

I'm surprised at everyone blaming the woman. Mel was married, he chose to cheat, no one put a gun to his head. No matter what no one deserves to be hit or gets paid back by someone threatening them.

If I were a judge I wouldn't want him around a baby until he can control his anger. He definitely sounds out of control.

I also think if this was a fake tape Mel and his lawyers would be screaming it from the roof top.

She didn't hold a gun to his head and make him hit her, or make him say the things he did I'm sure she did plan all along to tape him on purpose and to try to get him to admit to hitting her ect.... I mean honestly, it was probably the smartest thing she could do. She's has it on tape with him admitting that he hit her and saying the things he said and their are still ppl. trying to take "his side." Can you imagine what ppl. would say/think if she just came out and said these things happened without any proof. It's very sad, but it's extremely hard to get a court to rule that a parent can't have visitation ect. of their child, even in the normal world. If she thinks the baby is in danger being only in the care of Mel (which it seems pretty obvious that he can't control himself and probably hit the mom with the baby in her arms,) then what other choice did she really have? The court wasn't going to decide that he shouldn't have the kid just based on the he said/she said info. I would've done the same thing, and of course she was calm, did you want her to start screaming and yelling at him? Obviously, it doesn't take that to get him rediculously angry.- And it's not like she probably hasn't heard those thing come out of his mouth a million times before (seriously do ppl. really think this is the first time he every said things like this to her and she just got lucky that she started recording it,) after a while the reaction would wear off.

Absolutely. And if my child was in danger of going to an abusive, anger/hatred/racism focused father, I'd do anything I could to stop it.

Yes, but she states that he hits her while she's holding her child and he tells her she deserved it. I'm trying to think of how that could have a different meaning and just can't. I mean, I suppose it is possible he didn't realize she had picked up the child and he still hit her, but that's only slightly better. He still hit her!

The thing is, Mel produced the Passion of the Christ. A lot of people respected him for that movie. It's very hard for people to admit that their heroes have feet of clay.

You have this image in your mind of who you think a public figure is (Mel's a good, strong Christian man), and if you really respect that person it's hard to admit that maybe their public image is NOT who the person is (Mel beat his wife so hard he knocked teeth out.), so you try to figure out all the ways you can keep your image of the person. (The tapes are a lie; the woman is a blankety-blank.)
