Mega MDE problems

So....We did the MDE and when it called for adding family and friends, we needed to link those. Did that too. Now, for some reason, DH is in the Family and friends THREE times! Yet when we click on his names, we get no information. It will say he has no ticket linked, yet when I put in his number it says it IS linked....just doesn't show up. I am beyond frustrated with this whole thing, and since we are coming up on our 60 days before the trip time, I want to get this ironed out so if we have a chance at Fastpass +, we can take advantage of it. Is there somewhere to call to get this straightened out?

Hi, I didn't have this exact problem but it's close enough that the solution might be the same.

Somehow when importing my split stay each reservation resulted in listing me twice, once as the party leader and then once as a Family and Friend (though oddly it had no problem with my other half who was on both bookings too). Now OCD irritations aside I could probably have just ignored apart from that fact that obviously I was in the same situation as your DH where the ticket thing wasn't working right. The 2nd me couldn't use the ticket because it was already assigned to the 1st me.

I was dreading calling Disney IT to try and sort it when I happened across someones suggestion to fix it.

They suggested that I send an invitation to the duplicate me, making sure it was the same email address as my 'main me'. I then accepted the invitation by clicking the link in the email.

Logged out of MDE, logged back in - voila, MDE recognised that the 2 profiles were the same person and everything was merged.

So, I suggest sending invitations to all of your DH's profiles and fingers crossed after accepting them MDE will realise and merge them.

WHEW! I finally got it corrected....I HOPE!

I called the IT team, and Stacy was kind enough to get rid of all the extra husbands, and even made sure his ticket was connected to the RIGHT one. Now all our information shows up correctly!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

She also told me that I should do tickets for the rest of our party at least 31 days ahead of our trip so if we are Magic Band eligible, we will have things in order. :dance3:

This whole web page MDE has been a royal PITA ever since we first signed up for it earlier this year. It makes me have very little confidence in the Fastpass + system working.:scared:
 

Verify that your DVC reservation is still OK. The systems are linked and changes to one sometimes messes up the other.

I don't know if I would have done that. Extra husbands could have come in handy - mine can't finish his honeydo list by himself ... a few extra around and I might actually get shrubs planted next Spring.

I have called Help for MDE, and things were eventually worked out. I suggest calling.

I had two linked reservations for this trip. And one night at the BWV for the first night. That one was fine. But the other two? Yikes! When we checked in for the first one, they had to cancel and rebook. The website shows as cancelled, points in holding and rebooked. Then when we went to check in for the last two night reservation yesterday, same problem. They had to cancel, points in holding and rebook. And I was not able to check in on line.

Luckily it went okay and we are in the same villa for both reservations. Watching the skywriters this morning.

But with the software up dates next week, who knows what will happen to everything.

I had a really bad experience linking MDE when we got invited to "test magic bands". Seems I committed the cardinal sin of using my business e-mail for MDE when my DVC ressies were in family e-mail. Even IT couldn't solve the problem. I got help by participating in a post DVC call survey and while making it clear that I didn't think it was the employee's fault, asked that I receive a call, post survey. Aside from the annoyance of hearing "we're still testing" about a dozen times, they did a good job of resolving all problems which had grown to include inability to check-in online.
I have never been impressed with with Disney's website or really any of their online tools. This just made me even more skeptical of Magic Bands. We are leaving in 1 1/2 wks. Lets see how it goes.

I will give you a tip.... Keep the skepticism and keep thinking "test".
When it does not work for you, don't use it. We tried day 1 to only use FP+, but it was miserable. Waited in more lines it seemed than we did at spring break! Today we used both systems and I am far happier.

I work in Software Quality Assurance for a large company, so I have some tolerance for IT issues....but after reading some of the posts, I would not have approved this software going live. :sad2::sad2::sad2: Why upset paying customers?

I do think it makes a difference WHO you get when you call IT assistance.
 
I have a friend working in Tech on this project. Some of the issues are user problems of old browsers that are not working with the program.

So make sure your browser is the most current version and for some reason Google chrome seems to be giving the least number of issues.

Your friend has good job security b/c from my experience it's a mess. I touch thinks and they disappear. Then I have dining reservations that I want to disappear but if get the "blip" error and finally had to call so as not to be charged! I'm primarily on an iPad using the app and using the app on the phone- they were all downloaded in the last few weeks so I don't think they are "old".

I was referring to computer browsers, Explorer, Mozella and Chrome.

No info on the apps. Although our child used the app on our trip without any issues. I do know at times he thought things had disappeared as they were not showing up on the phone. However when we got to the room and checked on the computer they were still there.
