Besides the breakfast at Hollywood and Vine, are there any other places to meet the Disney Jr. characters, specifically Handy Manny, Sofia, Doc and Jake? I know there is a puppet show at DHS but do any non-puppet characters appear? Are there any other places they may show up?

You can meet Doc, Sofia, and Jake outside of the Disney Junior show (the puppet show you refer to). I don't think Handy Manny meets there anymore. He used to but I think they switched him out with Doc.

Sofia, Doc, and Jake have meet and greets in the Animation Courtyard outside of Disney Jr.

On EMH evenings, Jake, Handy Manny, and Sofia can be found at the Disney Jr. Dance Party.

This is a must for my DD3, and we opted to spend the morning at AK and afternoon/EMH at HS. I see you cannot fast pass the junior characters. Can I assume the lines will be short?

Kennythepirate.com advises late afternoon for all 3 meets so you should be fine. Expect up to 15 minute waits.

The lines are actually pretty good. Especially after the Disney Jr. show starts, the lines pretty much empty out. I don't think I've waited more than 15 min for the M&G (although, 15 can feel like 1 hour with a 3yr old sometimes!). But the characters are very sweet and I've never felt like it was a "snap&shove" sort of thing. Sophia is great, she will sit down with the toddlers and hug them for the photos! My son loves her.

The benefit of the H&V character meal is that you get to sit down, and characters come to you. It's also the best way to meet Doc. The food is good, and I'm pretty snobby with food. And they have dancing and singing to keep the toddlers hyped. It is a bit pricey, but I'd rather go there in the heat of summer and have a nice cool break than sweat it out outside. It's a cost per benefit thing. What do you feel is best for your family - both options are fine.

I had the breakfast booked, but now we're doing the Minnie Christmas at H&V and I didn't want 2 meals at the same restaurant on the same day. Between the M&G and the EMH Dance Party, I'm hoping the 3YO will get her fill.

One of our best interactions was with Jake three years ago. My son was so start struck and so happy to meet him. I wanted to hug that CM and tell them how much that meant to my sweetest three year old.
