Hi there,

We leave for our very first Disney cruise in 2 days!!! I have been reading for months now for all the tips and info I can gather, but I wasn't sure if someone could help me with this one...my 2.5 year old son is Spider-man obsessed. I know he's too young for the Marvel Superhero Academy and wouldn't enjoy it anyway, but there has to be a way for him to at least meet Spider-man at some point on our 7-night cruise? I didn't see any meet and greets for Spiderman when I registered for all our other ones. Is he around the open houses at all that we could go to? Any advice would be great as I don't want to miss this chance!

Thank you!

Spidey will be in the oceaneers club at some point. Find out from them when. I'm sure they can at least arrange a meeting.

At boarding, go to Guest services. There are Marvel M&G that are ticketed during the cruise. You can't get tickets online. On our last two cruises, the characters were Captain America, Thor and Spidey. Of course, you can't be sure they'll do it on your particular cruise and specific characters can change, but it's your best chance to have some time with him.

I asked this same question a few days ago to someone on the most recent Wonder cruise since the drydock and sadly it does not look like the Wonder was doing the Marvel M&G like the Magic does.

On the late November Merrytime cruise, the Avengers Assemble was in the O Club on Sea Day 1 at 8:45 pm. Check your navigators to see...

Avengers assemble was hosted by Black Widow on our cruises, but if you ask at the desk they can tell you when Spider-Man will drop in.

Just so no one gets disappointed once they're onboard: if it's in secured programming then only cruisers ages 3-12 will be able to attend.
Also, 99% of the time, when characters go into the club/lab for a programme, it's not like a meet and greet, as in they won't (usually) sign anything and (if it's secured programming) can't have any pictures taken, unless it's under something like 'picture this' (i.e. Done by the counsellors and printed off for you).

Just to update in case anyone else has this question, there was a Web Warriors in the kids' club area during an Open House time, Spidey signed autograph books and posed for pictures, there was also a Spider-Man M&G for 15-30 minutes (can't remember) near the end of our cruise.

Did your son enjoy his meeting with Spiderman? I loved meeting Thor and Captain America on previous Magic cruises. Glad he got to meet Spidey.

He absolutely loved it! Our daughter is 4 and the magic of the princesses and characters is really special for her and my son knows them all and enjoyed meeting them but it was great to see that same magic for him with Spider-Man too.
