Meeting Place at Magic Kingdom

I am supposed to meet somebody who is staying at the Yacht Club Resort at Epcot. I am driving in to go to the Magic Kingdom and will be taking the monorail from the parking lot. Where is a good place for us to meet before actually entering the kingdom? He will be checking out of the Yacht Club that morning so we don't want to meet there. He will also be taking the monorail to the Magic Kingdom....if he can.

He can only take the monorail from the YC if he walks through EPCOT. He would have to enter EPCOT via the International Gateway & walk all the way to the front of Future World & back out of the park. If he doesn't have a park hopper he shouldn't do this. The best bet would be to take the bus from the YC to the MK.

I would wait for him right near the entrance of MK before you get your bags checked. Everyone has to go through this entrance.

Thanks....didn't think about that park hopper thing. He wasn't planning on getting a park hopper so that would have been a disasterous mistake for him to go into Epcot. I will tell him about the bus. Do you know how early it runs?

All transportation usually starts at least one hour prior to park opening.

Okay, you're going to drive, so you'll be coming off the monorail or the ferry. He's taking the bus - so you'll be on opposite sides of the Entrance Plaza. I would say - you take the ferry, then wait for him at the end of the dock. You'll be on his left as he approaches the entrance 'funnel', and you'll be directly opposite it.

Are you both on time? Have cell phones? I'd be tempted to meet inside the MK, maybe by the main street bakery. Have a cup of coffee while you're waiting.
