Meeting Merida?

While my daughter is through-the-roof excited that we have a FP+ to meet Elsa & Anna, I am actually more interested in meeting Merida (we missed her on our last trip 2 years ago). Does she meet somewhere regularly and how long are her lines typically? TIA!

She has her own area in MK.
See the "Brave Meet & Greet" on the map below.
It's a very busy Meet & Greet.

We waited 30mins for her around 6 in the rain on a non recommended day. I have no idea if that is a typical wait time or not

I want to meet Merida in May. How long are the lines usually?

This M&G is a little unique in that it's not just a continuous line to meet her. They will coral a certain number of guests into the area at a certain showtime; the kids can play & color around a table in the middle of the themed area until Merida shows up, greets everyone, and then meets individual guests. If you previously met Rapunzel here it's the same sort of thing. There are probably some videos on Youtube showing the whole show.

The line forms outside Fairytale Garden and runs along the fence leading back to the Castle. I's not so bad, for at least part of the day it is well shaded. You can read the sign that tells showtimes, and the CMs will go up and down the line and try to give guests an idea of whether they will get in the next show or not.

We did this M&G last August and waiting only about 15 - 20 minutes. There were hardly any kids in the "corral" so we were through there in less than 5 and then it was just the wait once we were in the actually queue. It was mid afternoon on nice weather crowd level 4 day, if that helps.

Awesome, thanks for all the replies! The map is super-helpful, as we're Disney newbies (this will only be our 2nd trip). We'll be there the first week of May, which I think is usually considered a 'quieter' time, but we'll be prepared for a decent wait anyway. Thank you!

I waited about half an hour for her around 9:45. This was the beginning of Dec on a wed crowd level 4 day. It was my last day of my trip and meeting Merida was the one thing I "had" to do. As a PP said the area is shaded which is nice. I had been by this line at other times in my trip all later in the day and the CM said it was about a 45-60 min wait. At that time I believe she was meeting from 9am - 6pm. I am sure this can change though. Kennythepirate has some great information on character meet n greets. I would totally check out his website if you can. Lots of good info on which characters have longer waits and when to try and see them to minimize wait times.

We waited for about 30 minutes in October but it's worth the wait! This meet and greet is great. My little one loves her so we bought her the Merida bow an arrow set and she brought it with her when she met her, Merida took a bunch of time with my daughter and taught her how to shoot the arrow, it was cute and very magical for her :)

Do they still have the little fake archery setup? My kids saw that on the planning CD and keep asking if they can shoot a bow and arrow with Merida. I have no idea and never even knew that spot was there!

Yes, it's still there. It's something the kids can do while they're waiting. A CM 'runs' that part and not Merida herself. She does have her bow though, and she uses it sometimes with certain guests. :)

She is a pretty popular meet so I personally would recommend seeing her as early in the day as possible since she isn't on FP+ and doesn't meet in the evening.
