Meeting Max Goof?

Hi All!

Heading down in 17 days and I'm curious, is there anywhere I can meet Max Goof (Goofy's son) while there?

After a wonderful interaction two or three years ago (he decided he was my boyfriend ) and seeing The Goofy Movie, he's become one of my favorite characters so I'd love to go give him a hug and get an autograph. So does anyone know if he's out anywhere?

When we were there a year ago we didn't see him anywhere. Your best best would be Google Kenny the pirate. He has all recent information on character meet and greets.

We saw him over Christmas vacation- I can't remember which park or where. I'll ask my kids when they get home from school.

Max does not make any scheduled appearances, but there are several places he can pop up "randomly" at both Epcot at Studios.

Seeing the link, now I realize that's where we saw Max Goof- at the Holiday Hat Dance Party at HS. He was rocking out with Jessie, Eeyore, and Tigger (that cat can dance!!).

A few years ago, I saw Max and Goofy standing on a prop as the train went to what is now storybook circus. Never got an upclose of him, though.
Elusive teenager, I reckon.

I believe Kenny the Pirate also has him listed as one who appears at the Epcot training exercise.

We just met Max in September during Characterpalooza in H S. Highlight of my son' trip!

I've seen Max a few times around the east side of the Fountain of Nations in the earlier morning as well.

Sometimes you have to be lucky...but it never hurts to ask a Cast Member. They can call entertainment to see if Max is in the area for that day.

Everytime a question about Max pops up, it appears we're the only ones who can never find him!!!

Your best bet is probably Character Palooza.

You can always try to ask Guests Relations on a specific day. A few years ago, before Mary Poppins was a regular character in Epcot, that's how we got to know where and when to meet her.

One of my friends who went down today for Marathon weekend just posted a picture with him in DHS on Instagram a little while ago! I'm willing to bet that it's probably Characterpalooza as others have said that's where they saw him.

We've seen him several times at Characterpalooza. My kids love him!

We saw him at DHS near the Great Movie Ride in October. We were surprised because it was the first time we had ever seen him at WDW (we have seen him every DL trip). He is typically not a regular to my knowledge, although I have seen several reports of people seeing him at the Great Movie Ride area in the last few months. Even if he has been out there regularly the last few months, that might change once the construction starts later this week to tear the hat down. That whole area around the hat will likely be a mess, and I'm guessing all the character meet and greets around there will have to be moved or on hold. I would suggest that you go to guest services and ask if he will be appearing in the park anywhere that day when you arrive. They can be pretty good about helping you locate characters if they are out.
