Meeting Jack Sparrow?

How long is the line usually to meet Cpt Jack? We will be in the parks the first week in May so average crowds are predicted. Is there a better time, like later in the day? Thanks in advance!

I was also wondering why Disney added him as a meet and greet now. He was always a hard character to find and had quite a line at MNSSHP because it was the only time to meet him. But, I have been checking the characters in each park in MDE to see what's new for our trip in May and Jack Sparrow has been showing up daily meeting for the majority of the day by Pirates ride.

They just removed his little show and changed it to a meet instead. Probably cheaper for Disney that way.

We were at WDW the week of Thanksgiving (e.g. insane crowds) and did the meet and greet. We got in line 5-10 minutes before the scheduled time and waited maybe 10 minutes after he came out. We met him in the early afternoon - maybe 1pm.
