I just saw it today and I thought the 3-d might be little much for me because sometimes it can give me a headache(like spy kids 3) but this was great. The 3-d was not to much it just enhanced the story and made it great. I also love the t-rex part from the commercial (so funny) and the tom selleck surprise (don't want to ruin it for anyone).
I think the best part though was the Walt Disney quote at the end. I thought it was wonderful that they used something Walt said as the moral of the story( it made me teary at the end). I think this is one of the best Disney movies in a long time. I would reccomend it to everyone.

We have to drive about 30mins to go see it in 3D. I hope it's good!!! I think it will be

I enjoyed the movie but was so caught up in the 3D effect that I had sometimes forgot to keep up with the fast pased plot. yay, an excuse to see it again. Not sure if everyone saw the same previews but I'd go again just to see the 3D preview of the 3D U2 concert. That was wayyyyy cool!

To the poster that asked what the 3d was like - it's closer to Philharmagic than the other movies you mentioned. They don't constantly 'trick out' the movie with major 3D effects like they do the shorter movies in the parks. It gives a pretty good balance between showing off how cool 3d can look without the effects completely distracting you from the storyline.

Even tho our "children" are 25 and 21, we drove all the way to Tampa (from Orlando) to see this, all of us together because my son is at University of South Florida. We all loved it. My wife always laughs the loudest in the theater. I really wasn't expecting too much beforehand, but really loved the 3-D, and the stunning visuals. Watch for Space Mountain in "TodayLand" and I am sure there were more hidden (and not so hidden) items........

saw the movie yesterday, thought it was awsome! we went to the disney store after to get our free kalidascope- (spellng). then i just took the quiz, (that was posted a few posted a few posts back). and won the sound track!!! yeah!!! anyway i was well worth going to see the movie-we loved it! oh and we did not see it in 3-d. also today is he last day for the kalideascope,just show your movie stub!

Glad to hear all the good reivews. I too had heard the no-so-good reviews (even Joel Siegel on GMA) and was wondering if we should see it. Based on all your reviews, and DD7 really wanting to see it, it looks like we'll definitely have to see it soon. Thanks everyone.

Did anyone else have to buy their 3-D glasses at the theater? This is the first time our family has seen a 3-D movie in our local theater. We went today to pre-purchase tickets for a matinee tomorrow. When they gave DH a total of $32, he questioned them. It's supposed to be $6 each for a matinee. They said the glasses for the digital 3-D are $2 a piece! So, we now have a keepsake from the movie! Maybe this is the norm, but it seemed strange to us!!

They had a sign at our theater saying that the 3-D was more money. My DS 5 doesn't like 3-D so we saw without for $5 each matinee

How do you find out where it is playing in 3-D? I looked up several theatres near me and it just said the movie. No mention of 3-D or not 3-D.

It should say in the listings "Meet The Robinsons in Disney Digital 3D" or just "Meet the Robinsons" if not in 3D...

To the poster who asked what the 3D is like... it is not at all like Sharkboy and Lavagirl... It's kind of hard to describe. Easy to look at like Philharmagic, but not with things popping out at you. The best way I can describe it is like watching a movie through a window instead of on a screen... if that makes any sense.

There a few Disney parks references I noticed... the most obvious being Space Mountain and Astro Orbiter in "Todayland"... but there were others. Keep your eye out.

I also LOVED the fact that they played a classic Mickey Mouse short before the feature presentation. That was awesome and really set the mood for me. And it looked GREAT! They did a great job of preserving the film and it looked new... probably the best I've seen for a classic (40's or 50's I'm sure) short.

Two thumbs up for me on this movie, and as others have said, loved the quote by Walt at the end of the movie and how they tied that in.

My DS8 & I loved it. I thought the 3D was very well done & the movie had a great message.

We had to pay $7.50 for matinee (usually 5.50) as the theatre explained, "For the extra set up of 3D"--read, "You're paying for your glasses." But hey, I figure they would work on the WDW 3D/4D movies, so we have our own personal glasses.

I LOVED the quote at the end.

Yes, we're thinking the same thing.

They are MUCH sturdier than the "Bug Eyes," "Opera Glasses," and the others that you pick up on your way into a WDW 3D attraction.

And they FOLD UP so you CAN carry them through the parks in a back-pack, or similar, if you like.

That's interesting... I actually saw the non-3D version - which had a short starring Donald, Goofy, and Mickey building a boat (can't remember the name). I wonder why they did two separate shorts for the non 3D and the 3D versions...

The cartoon before the 3D version of MTR was in 3D (and was originally filmed in 3D), so if you weren't seeing the 3D version of the movie (and thus had the 3D glasses) you wouldn't have gotten the full effect.

A 2D cartoon for the 2D version of the "Robinsons."

I wonder which cartoon they'll provide on the DVD release in a few months.

We kept out 3-D glasses from Nightmare Before Christmas and they did not charge us again.

Sooooooo many wonderful messages ... so funny ... so touching ... and the the 3D was amazing!

LOVED the Walt quote at the end ... loved the music ... LOVED the cartoon at the beginning! (Don't want to spoil too much).
