Meet the Fockers! We're watching you...

"Our server spoke broken English, but that is to be expected with all the European kids who work in Pigeon Forge":lmao:
Probably from near where Jo lives!!
Hey what are you saying! I speak the Queens English I'll have you know :rotfl2:

DisneyJo, we speak the Queen's English here too but we have many different interputations of that. Such as Queens (NYC).

Myself, I am rather fond of those British accents. :)

If we shoud share a repast together must I lift my pinkie in the air when sipping my tea and stop eating when you do? :rotfl2:

Just curious. :dance3:

Slightly Goofy and entirely an Anglophile

I just can't believe you are going to a theme park and it isn't Disney?:confused3
Believe me--if I could find a way to do a weekend Disney trip with no kids, I certainly would! Only 2 1/2 hours to Dollywood so it's a little easier!

OK I may regret this but what is at Dollywood :confused3
It's a theme park with lots of country shows/mountain crafts started by Dolly Parton. The website is www.dollywood.com
It's very pretty in the Smoky Mountains of TN.
Lots of folks from around here go there on their honeymoon--best fried catfish around apparently!:lmao:

LOL! You're still a great looking babe....and your DH is hot hot hot (he looks even better in person!;) )

Love the Prom pics!
Thanks Lara! I feel pretty lucky to have him :goodvibes He's a good guy!

Yes, it is very pretty. Actually looks a lot like where I live now as I am in the Appalachian Mountains. We have 4 seasons here and very moderate weather. Missed that in TX (mainly hot and hotter there, but I liked it too!)

OMG! I think I was wearing a Swatch Watch!!

I believe you must have the crustless bread lightly buttered as well. We must be properly elegant ya know??

Actually, the folks in Pigeon Forge and the English would have much in common as I believe that many of the more 'rural' areas retain more of their 'roots' than their rural cousins and many of the idioms have stuck with them while they have been watered down in other areas.

Mickey's Fan, did ya post a trip report?? How many lanyards did you spot and did anyone ask for an autograph?? You will go down in DIS history along with the soup and the IASW water. I am honored to know ye.

Slightly Goofy, who is rushed

Well my Prom was held well prior to the invention of digital cameras...I'll have to get DH to scan it in for me. I'm wearing Pink satin. My prom was in 1986 and I went stag because my boyfriend at the time had a track meet the next day and "didn't want to be tired"....he wasn't my boyfriend much longer.

I was a nerd in school. I ran the school library and skipped most classes as I was always studying for the National Merit tests.:teacher:

I made my own prom dress for $5. One of my friends had a brother who acted as the escort for several of us. This was way back in the mid 1960's so things were a bit different then. :hippie:

I am a late bloomer. Some might say a blooming idiot though. :lmao:

I will spare you all the photo. It is emblazened upon my brain and I would just as soon forget it. I do thank my lucky stars that none of the fellers I graduated with wanted me or I would be living in a trailer with at least a half dozen of my children and a dozen or so of my grandkids all living with me. :dance3:

I love the bright lights and paved streets. :thumbsup2

Slightly Goofy

Oh me too! And "papa don't preach"......now I'll sing those all day!:thumbsup2

Do you have big dances during secondary school?
Only when we orgainizes them and after the first we weren't allowed another!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hey, can you link it here? I'm a little afraid to ask Rosie to try that!!

Once again I ressemble that remark!!:lmao:

Englishrose, did you see the posting by someone who ran into you recently? I fear they did not truly understand how privileged they were to meet YOU!! :wizard:

I was jealous.

You must have been too cool for school!!!!! I wanted one of those watches sooo bad, but did not have the courage to ask my Mother for one - since they were so expensive a the time. :sad2:
