I'm sure the Tag Fairy is a man because he just keeps breaking my heart. Wouldn't give me a tag, so I had to tag myself.

:lmao: Thanks for the laugh!

And for the reminder that I DO need to start getting my hurricane plan and box-of-stuff-to-go-if-evacuated together. Joy. Yet another season of anxiety-causing weather reoprts. :sad2:

We will be there from September 19-25 so if there is going to be one, you can have it the week before. I am good with that. ;)

Besides, I got a hurricane in Oct. 2005 when we were there for Wilma and I certainly do not want to hog them. That would be rude! hehe :thumbsup2

I got to experience Wilma's aftermath. We were on a western caribbean cruise Thanksgiving week of '05. We stopped at Cozumel (why, I don't know... ) and there was virtually nothing open. Total devastation. I live in central VA and we had Isabelle go right over in 2004. That was only a cat 1 and, believe me, it scared us! We huddled together in our front room all night since we live deep in the woods and our house is surrounded by tall trees. :scared:

OMG V have you ever had to evacuate? And there was me wanting to move to Florida

Yep, a few times. Though one wasn't in FL. I was in Isle of Palms, an island off Charleston, SC, when Hurricane Hugo hit. We evacuated for that one ... good thing, too, since the storm surge washed our house 10 feet off the foundation and stripped the contents! :scared1:

Down here, I've only evacuated twice, both when I lived on one of the barrier islands.

But, every year, I stand ready to go. I live about 5 miles inland now, but our entire county is a peninsula. All but two small areas would be underwater in a Cat 5 hurricane! I've got a few different plans in place, depending on where the storm's coming from and how strong it is. (One plan calls for an emergency trip to WDW - Free Dining is screwing up my last-minute-check-in-at-AP-rate evacuation plan! :rotfl: ) Believe you me, after seeing what Hugo did ( a category 4 hurricane), there's no way I'd stay put if a big one comes my way.

All that said, I'll take the potential threat of hurricanes over tornados or earthquakes - at least we know in advance when a hurricane's coming!

:scared: I'm glad you have a plan!

After our tornados 2 weeks ago...I'm beginning to think that the best place to live is an underground bunker!

I want to join this little group, but way too many pages to catch up on! Can someone give me the readers digest version?

I am in the parks at least once a month, and my lime green Mickey head is predominately displayed on my bag. Yet I never meet anyone. :sad1:
