Meet Pal at Epcot - how long?

If we have a FP for the Epcot Character Spot, about how long should I expect to be engaged in this? Thirty minutes from entering the line to exit, assuming we stop for a few pics with each character?

And how do FPs work for characters - The FP gets you past the queue waiting to get into the building and then you stand in shorter lines for each character? Never used FP for character meets before.

I would expect no more than 20-25 minutes from start to finish. FP for character meets is no different than that for any other attraction, shorter wait in a queue prioritized over the standby queue.

I did this for the first time in December with DS. We had FP but probably waited about 10 minutes to get to our first character. IIRC, it was Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie. The wait is short for each consecutive character as the family in front of you is moving on as you are ready to move on. The meet and greets last a couple minutes a piece. Just long enough to get a hug, very brief interaction, and a few photos. I think 20 minutes sounds about right, maybe even less.

FP for character spot gets priority over the line outside. Once they scan your FP, there will probably be 10-20 people in front of your waiting for the first character. The waits for characters 2 and 3 may be zero or may be two or three parties of guests. Depends on how long they interact with a given character, and how long the character interacts with you.

I had a fastpass for it in March, and I was definitely waiting more than 10 minutes before I got to my first character. It was at least 15 minutes if not longer.
