meet and greet transportation

from mco to hardrock, do we have to wait till the car? van fills up? or is this i good quick way to get to our destnation? thanks so much

I'm assuming you are talking about mears greet and meet transportation.

I got this last year in September and I had to wait half an hour for a van as I was the only one waiting when I went outside. The meet and greet agent left as soon as I was in the correct place waiting for the van.

The mears shuttle is a very cheap way to get to the universal hotels. It look me about 40 minutes with all of the stops to other hotels to go to the royal pacific. It probably isn't the quickest if you can get a taxi as soon as you leave the airport.

Oh and personally I wouldn't get the meet and greet service as I found the Mears desk first before the agent found me! I'm going again this year without it.

they said what i ordered was semi private to meet them at luggage pick up and they will have a sign with our name on it. does this sound about right? thanks..
i will be keeping this as if we down grade they will do a service charge of 50 dollars .. thanks again

Take a taxi - best and cheapest way. We just learned that this week. I booked mears at $30 a person. The taxi they told us to the Point Orlando - 1 1/2 miles down the road from Universal would have been $35 each way by taxi - there were 7 of us. It costs us $6-$8 one way for the taxi - depending on hitting lights, etc.

Do taxis have a carseat or booster seat available? With Mears and others, when you reserve in advance, they have them.

Yes and you can reserve the taxi in advance to get the car seats. I saw several taxi's with car seats - especially the van's.

since you are on a package, you might as well keep the meet and greet with mears.

why pay the $50 to make a change to your package and then have to turn around and pay almost $100 for other transportation.


if you are still outside of the penalty period, you could cancel that package and then rebook everything separately.

only consider doing that if you are still within the time frame of no penalty.

is it very easy to get a taxi that will fit 5 adults and luggage...

say we get off the plane and get our bags.. do we just have to step out to the taxi stands and get a van taxi big enough for the group? with a van taxi , would it cost more as well ?? just wondering whats the best and most budget friendly way to get to the onsite hotels from the airport..

They cost the same and are generally there at the airport waiting. There seem to be more and more of them these days.

Taxi cabs are there waiting in a line. They are plentiful. We have grabbed them more than a few times but lately I like my free shopping stop so we don't grab a cab as they charge for every minute they wait. Makes the fare not reasonable anymore.

I can book a car service for $105 round trip and they are waiting at luggage for me and bringing my bags out to the car and then making a 1/2 hour shopping stop.

Sometimes we get in on a day or hour that inst conducive to a stop, then we just grab a cab.
