Seems to be very strange the inconsistency of DCL regarding giving out details of the excursions. Some people are managing to get the information they want others, like myself just get the answer you have to wait until 90 day mark.

We are a family of 6 & need to get to & from airport!

Just booked transportation to & from DLP & airports about 90 Euro's each way or 15 Euro's per person! Such a deal!

Hi, can you tell us who you are using for transportation to and from DLP and the airports in Paris. We are also going to DLP after our cruise and need to get tranportation there.

the first time i emailed i got this responce

"Actually all the information regarding the shore excursions and
availability is found online. Below, I have provided the steps for
accessing times and availability. etc etc".

When I emailed DCL to ask for the times of the excursions I was looking at. I put it like this;
I was wondering if you could give some advice regarding the times of
excursions on the med cruises - I appreciate that things might change.
But I was wondering if the times the excursions were taking place would
be available in either the brochure pack or on the DCL website prior to
making our 90 day bookings. In particular I am interested in the times
of
Pisa -La Spezia (4-5hrs)
Italian Island and Beach Resort Naples
Kayak in Gallura Olbia (4-5 hrs)
Mondello Beach Palermo (4-5hrs)
Evening Casino Villefranche (4-5 hrs)

As most of these are short excursions we were wondering if it would be
possible to do another excursion on the same day? Knowing the approxiate
times would therefore be very helpful.

It was therefore in their best interest to give me the times as I might be able to schedule other ones and actually spend more money with them.

Hi Pete ... I too am going to DLP and I was just going to use the shuttle to Disney. There are only two of us, so I thought this might be the best way for us!

Surprise surprise in the post today came another one of the cruise information packs exactly the same as the first with very little information.

Bit more information - I sent an email to the address asking for details of their private vehicle hire and also the excursions we may be interested in.

Have all the info on private vehicles but unfortunatley they all come with driver and are not cheap but if you want the information let me know and I will post it.

More excursion information:-
Palermo -
Boat Ride to Zingaro Park. 8:15 am 8 - 8.5 hours long.
Mysterious Palermo. 12:45 pm 4 - 4.5 hours long.
Sights of Palermo. 8:15 am or 12:45 pm 4 - 4.5 hours long.

Naples.

Either private car hire or
Treasures of Herculaneum. 8:45 am 4.5 - 5 hours long.

Sardinia

Moon Valley 8:00 am or 12:45 pm 4.5 - 5 hours long.
Train to Gallura 9:00 am 5.5 - 6 hours long.

La Spezia

Cinque Terre 8:45 am or 1:15 pm 4.5 - 5 hours long.

Villefranche

Nice and Eze with wine and cheese 8:30 am or 1:45 pm 4 - 4.5 hours long.
or private car.

Seems to me they are far from reasonable.

They do van for 1-6 guests or 1-13 in some cases and in napes 16-22 guests and the prices for that seems much more reasonable. i.e. Private minu bus with driver 8 hours 16-22 guests for $1400.

Strange pricing polic I think.

Thanks, i had contacted a driver who was 450 euros for 1-3 people... and i thought that was a bit pricey now i know what pricey is.

Sounds expensive to me! We have hired a car with driver in La Spezia for 4 people for 550 euros . . . this will include taking us to Florence and Pisa and back. We are using Papillion. Other than LaSpezia we will be doing excursions on our own (via foot, train, bus, etc.).
