I'll be bringing a group of 8 high school kids to a journalism conference in November. I was thinking about taking them to Medieval Times while we're there. I've never been before, so I want opinions on whether a group of 7 teen girls and 1 teen boy would have a good time there.

I think your best bet would be to poll the kids to see if it interests them.

I really enjoyed it, horses, knights, jousting, sword fights, eating with your hands and lots of ale... what's not to like!
My DW and DD... shall we say... not as "enchanted" as my sons and I. They didn't dislike it, but didn't get into the experience like the guys.
Personally I would do it again, as would my sons (now 25 and 27 YO), my wife says yes but my daughter is giving me the thumbs down when I ask her the question

It's a well rehearsed show and makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Food is basic Renaissance fare but tasty (and did I say, you get to eat with your hands) but I would definitely ask the kids before you book.

I have taken a dozen or so 13 yr old girls to Arabian Knights and about that many to Sleuths Mystery Dinner for my daughters bdays over the years. They always had a good time. Also took them to Cirque De Soleil and California Grill, they liked that too. Have fun!

I think they would like Blue Man Group (in Universal CityWalk) better! Plus they are more food options, shopping, etc. As high schoolers, before the show they can have some freedom to check out CityWalk and meet you back in front of Blue Man Group for the show.

I only have a 7 year old and she absolutley loved it! I adored it but i agree that its a taste thing. If they arent into theatrics/ acting it might not be the best. Blue Man is a better option i think, although more expensive.

I'm guessing that one teen boy is going to have fun on that trip no matter what you all decide to do.
