Have any of you ever done Medieval Times on one of your trips? We are trying to decide between another character breakfast and a Medieval Times dinner on our trip next week. We have a 10:40 reservation for the Plaza Inn Minnie and Friends breakfast which we have done before and love. We can easily get an earlier reservation as well but we love that brunch time frame. However, my oldest son is 10 and I'm wondering if Medieval Times might be more his speed. Has anyone ever been? Worth it? The character meal will run us about $100, and the Medieval Times dinner will be around $125 with coupons. So the cost is pretty comparable. It's going to be a crazy busy time to travel so we don't want to waste time doing two big meals. For reference, I also have 6 and (almost) 2 year old daughters.
On one hand, I like the idea of trying something totally new and different, since we go to the parks once or twice a year (though this is the first trip in 2.5 years). On the other I'm concerned about spending so much time out of the parks when traveling during such a busy time. We typically are park openers, tour until about 12/1:00, take the kids back to the hotel for a nap, and head back in around 3/4:00. I suppose we could always do a late nap that day, at like 2:30, and then do the 5:00 show at Medieval Times and head back in to close out the day at the parks.
Anyway, anyone have any thoughts, experiences or recommendations?
