medieval times dinner

has anyone been to the medieval times dinner show? please tell me what you thought of it, my kids are 8 & 10 and this is something my son really wants to do.

I have been there and to Arabian Nights. I liked Times better. The atmosphere and show is great. The audience is divided into teams and you all cheer for a different knight. It is a lot of fun. Your children will really enjoy it. I vote YES! Have fun.

It's good. You don't get any silverware to eat with, but that's half the fun! I'd love to do it again sometime.

My husband and I went several years ago. We had fun. My husband rooted for the black night, so he thought he was the coolest! I liked it. The food was OK. I say "Go" also. pomcoach

I took my family in Nov 07. The show was realy good and I had my son Knighted and both my daughters named princess for the day. It was cool they had to kneel befire the king and the princess and the king touched a sword to their shoulders. They got a certificate and their name was called out durring the dinner show as honered guest. that cost a lil xtra i think like 30d ollars a piece and the show was awsome. if you show up early enough you can visit the medieval village they have which is a medieval museum. The food was ok.

Our next trip to WDW is in Dec and we are going back to medieval times.

I agree with pp~absolutely go We went in Sept. 07 and LOVED it! I think part of the charm is "no silverware" We thought the food was pretty good too

Yes you have:
regular seating $59 adults $39 children under 12
Royalty seating $69 adults $49 children under 12
Kings Royalty seating $79 adults $59 children under 12

Or for a birthday
the celabration package $75 adults $55 children under 12

Make sure you book online in advance or you might not be able to have dinner there. When you book you have to pay upfront which guarantees admission. Here is the website just choose the Kissimmee Castle.

My 13 year old DS just went to Medieval Times in NJ on Sunday with a friend and his family, and he LOVED it! He said the food was just OK (and he's a big eater, being 13 and all!), but he said the show part was fun. He is still talking about it a few days later, so it must've been a hit!

We'd love to go in June when we're in Disney, but I'm not sure yet. My 9 year old DS would love it!

It's AWESOME and in my opinion, worth every bit of the money The kids probably won't be into the food all that much since it's usually steak with soup or something along those lines, but the show more than makes up for it.

I went two years ago to the one in Illinois with my mom and sister. Even though we're all adults we still enjoyed ourselves. The majority of the crowd were of kids on field trips with their schools. Everyone had a blast! Go and you won't be dissapointed!

I wonder if the food is the same in all locations? My DS13 said they had 1/4 chicken, ribs, some kind of potato, tomato bisque soup, and an apple pie type of pastry. He didn't like the soup, and he's not a huge fan of chicken on a bone. He said the food was OK....but I didn't take it that it was great. Theshow, on the other hand, impressed him!

Totally, totally worth it. I have 3 boys, and they thought it was the greatest. Go early, and look around the "castle", take pictures of the king and queen on their throne, check out the swords, etc. for sale. Walk around the village--talk to the falconer and learn about hawks, etc. Everyone is saying the food is just okay--they loved it. It was a ton of food- a half roasted chicken, baked potato, corn bread, green beans(?), apple pastry/pie, coke. Of course, all with their fingers. Everyone is given a particular hat color and that's the team you'll be sitting with. They have a stunt show, and a whole story to follow. Everyone stands and cheers for their guy when it's his chance to woo the princess. This was a huge memory for them, but I enjoyed it as well. HTH

The prices in a previous message are the list price. If you get your tickets ahead of time you can get pretty big discounts if I recall correctly. Do a search on tickets for this show and you will get lots of hits. Should be able to find 25% - 30% off I think.
