My wife was recently diagnosed with adult ADD and put on generic Adderall (which is just amphetamine). Does anyone know if this is going to cause us problems with embarkation/debarkation to be carrying a pill bottle with amphetamines in it?

I don't know for sure, but I would take an educated guess and say that if the Rx is in her name and she has her ID (passport/drivers license) she would be fine. But to be sure, I would call DCL for confirmation.

My husband is on medications and he carries a note from his doctor listing all the medications he is prescribed. He probably would only need the prescription bottle with his name on it and identification. You should not have any problems as long as you can prove it is prescribed to you.

As long as a current (not expired) pharmacy label on the bottle matches the name on your identification, you'll be fine. Same goes for airports. We've never been questioned with any of the XYZ medications (including injections) that we have brought on holidays. No doctor's note necessary unless you are bringing large peripherals with you beyond what would be considered 'normal' carry-on luggage. (i.e. large amounts of paediatric formula)

It MUST have a pharmacy label!!! And when I say not expired, I mean the bottle has to have been filled recently and still contain the proper amount of medication (approximately; nobody is going to count). If you bring a bottle filled from 2007 and it says take 1 tablet daily for 30 days and you still have tablets in there, you could run into trouble.

You'll be fine.

Yeah, I just called DCL (also about the website issue I posted in another thread) and they said it's fine as long as it's in the prescription bottle.

It wasn't so much the presence of medication that I was concerned with as the large type on the bottom of the bottle that says "AMPHETAMINE."

My son takes Concerta and we take the medication on board with no issues. As others say, we bring it in the original bottle with a current prescription label, and the name matches his, so really there is no issue. All ADD medications are some type of Amphetamine.
