Medical services at disney resorts Question

Hello,

We are going to Disney in April and being the neurotic mother that I am was wondering what medical/doctor services are close to the disney resorts. I'm thinking in case (God forbid) an ear infection etc should arise. We are staying at ASM.

back in January we stayed at ASM and my daughter got very sick and we ended up taking a cab to Florida hospital to the ER. the cab there was $17 and the cab back was $15 we spent about 7 hours there but to me it was much more worth it than paying for the inroom doctor service that you will pay a few hundred dollars for plus full price for meds.

During our last trip son woke up crying in middle of night complaining of ear pain (had ear infection) I gave him some pain medicine and he was able to go back to sleep, first thing in the morning I called front desk and they arranged transportation to and from clinic free of charge, we stayed at AKL. All took about 2-3 hours if I remember correctly.

For a while there we had someone sick just about every trip we took! We ended up at Celebration hospital when dd was 15 months as she had a double ear infection. Another trip we ended up at the clinic near DTD when she had a tic in her head! (one we brought from home as the Florida dr's all gathered 'round to see it) And another trip dh was so sick that we had a dr. come to our room and get him some meds. There are many services available if anyone in your party gets sick - just ask at guest services at your resort and they will be able to help.
