...usually heal from the center out?

I have a doozy of a bruise (I won't even post the stupid way I got it:rolleyes: ) and like most of my bruises, the center is starting to heal, while the outside still looks disgusting. Anyone know why?

I have no idea but would like to know the answer as well.....mine have begun doing this other funky thing as I get older. As the bruise heals I get a rash on the bruise that is identical to the shape of the bruise itself that itches like the dickens as it heals!

Im not a Doctor but I watched on lot of episiodes of St Elsewhere and I still dont have a clue

Do you take aspirin daily? Sometimes that contributes to a prolonged clotting time resulting in bruises. Do you have "thin" skin? Sometimes normal bruises are just more apparent. If you have excessive bruising and it takes very little to cause a bruise and the answer is no to the aspirin question, it is a good idea to consult your physician to rule out a platelet disorder.

i'm not on aspirin and the same thing has always happened to me too. i just figured it was normal.
