Medical Devices info for Virgin air travelers

Hi I have just had a conversation with virginairways and have some important info about medical devices. Any device with is battery powered or uses radio waves must have preapproval by virgin before you turn up for your flight, If not you may not be allowed it on the plane.

This includes medical pumps.

Phone the Special Assistance team- they need the model, make and serial number to give approval.


I have flown with virgin many times and this is the first time that I have been told this.

That's strange, we have done this with Virgin for the past three years. They told us everytime.
