I've put them in frozen.

Do you freeze meatballs after you make them? To the OP I would definitely bake them or you may have one big meatball on your hands!

They got really good. I started browning them, then gave up and just threw the rest in the crockpot. They didn't fall apart either.

I always cook the meatballs in the crockpot, no browning or baking first, I just throw them in with sauce. They never fall apart and are very good.

Well that's good! My mom used to brown them on the stove but I always bake mine before putting them in the sauce. I make meatball subs out of mine. Yum!
