Measurements for RoR ride car?

Does anyone know how high the seat of the ride car is (measuring from the floor of the ride car, not the floor you stand on when you enter it), and how much space there is from the seat to the front? Or, is therea ride car outside the attraction for people to try and see if they can fit? I can't bend my knees very far and it looks like that might prevent me from going on this ride. I'm not that interested in only doing the first part.

Usually when I can't get on a ride it's because of a high step up or down, or a super low seat, so it feels so frustrating that I might lose out on yet another ride because of something as dumb as no leg room. Why on earth would Disney bother making a car that has the side open up for transfers and yet gives you so little room that anyone with knee problems is barred. I can usually tilt myself sideways and put my legs out a bit more diagonally instead of bending my knees but I can see from looking at how the car is structured that you can't do that either. I'm hoping I'm wrong and there's enough space there since I'm really short.

Excellent, thank you. Still wish I could find out in advance because I'll have to go to the park and try the test car before I know whether I'll fit, and I suspect that if I don't make an early LL reservation I won't get one, and I don't want to waste one if I can't go on the ride. But it's a whole lot better than not knowing at all before I wait and then experience part of the ride and get cut off from the rest.

In the front row they can open the door for you and that helps. Also ask them to make sure they don't put anyone next to you on either side. DH does this and it helps.

We didn't know that they have a test seat though, good to know.

Yeah, I know they can open the door wider to get in -- but that doesn't help at all actually. I'm worried about fitting into the car, not about being able to enter and exit it. The lower the seat is the more you have to bend your knees unless there's room in front to stretch your legs out, and mine don't bend much at all. From the photos it looks like there's very little room and a low seat.

Wrong ride you can not ask for a row on this ride.

The second row seemed higher up to me. But you can not ask for row one or two. As it would break cariter

I have the same issue after my knee replacements. I will see if I can get the front row..similar to asking for back seat on spaceship earth. I hope I am comfortable . Thanks for the post as I had no idea the seats could be uncomfortable

My family has not gone on Rise of Resistance yet, but I’ve seen a bunch of videos, pictures and write ups.
People using wheelchairs have given some information about seat height, saying the seat is a little higher than their wheelchair seat. Average wheelchair seat height is about 19-21 inches.
The other issue might be that the seats look like they have a sort of formed seat for each guest. If the seat was flat, you could take more space with your legs.

Just wanted to make a post that I was thinking of a different ride. ROR dose not have a test set nor can you ask for any row. Both row have the same leg room with the back row being a litttle higher from what I remember

If you can sit in a chair with your knees bent 90 degree you will be fine. Not much leg room as I remember and I am 5 foot 1

Doesn't that leave two people out of the ride vehicle from your grouping though? We had to stand on circles - is that where you request extra space?

When the CM asks how many in your party, that’s when you would ask. That’s the point where they do grouping and assign rows.

This isn’t my picture; it shows the ADA car which opens further. That might not be helpful for the poster, but it also shows the ‘ridge’ dividing the seats.

Are there rides you know you can or cannot sit comfortably in with your knee issue? We might be able to draw comparisons to other rides based on ones you know you can do.

I'm tall and my knees both need replacing. Some trips they are worse than others. I had no trouble with RoTR. My biggest problems are Splash, Small World, Pirates. I can still bend my knees enough to ride FoP but it was enough to make me glad it was over. I think the type of seats in RoTR makes it hard to turn sideways to stretch out your legs.

Maybe Disney would refund your LL$ if you bought it and couldn't ride? It's one ride I think the ride que is worth doing (at least the LL que).

Actually you can indeed do so, as only the front row allows for transfers and making it easier to get in and out. DH has to do so and they do accommodate.

We have found that the CMs there are pretty good at figuring the extra space being needed part out, they don't always know if you need the front row if you leave your mobility device behind. But if you think it will be an issue, just let them know.

Sue, can you clarify the seating? I thought it was two in front and two in back? Is this actually 3? How many in the back row? We will have a party of 5 and I was assuming we would be split up so this is interesting.

My dad with a knee and hip replacement was able to sit comfortably in it and most importantly get up off the seat to get out of it (which was always my worry on the rides - that he wouldn’t be able to get off it)
