Has anyone ever done this? Where do Mears buses pick up? Are they constantly running or do you need to schedule pickup/drop off times? Do tickets need to be purchased ahead of time? Thanks in advance for any help!

The shared shuttle must be reserved in advance (24 hours is usually OK, but earlier is better if it's a busy time of year), and is $19 per person, round trip, plus tip. Call it $21 with tip. Mears reservation number is 407-423-5566. They will pick you up at your hotel. Depending on how many people want to go to SeaWorld around that same time, it might be a van or a bus. They will go around to various hotels to pick people up, so it could be 20 or 30 extra minutes before you head out.

You can also take a cab, which will be around $50-60 round trip, tip included, depending on traffic and depending on where you are in WDW. So obviously if you have 3 people or more, take a cab. For 1 or 2 people, a shuttle is cheaper, but frankly I'd take the cab even with the higher fee. You won't share the cab with anyone, and no reservation is necessary. Just go to the porte-cochere of your hotel, and tell bell services or a valet that you need a cab for [number of people] to SeaWorld. They will wave one over, you get in, and away you go. Coming back, there's a cab stand at SeaWorld right in the front.

I've been looking into the Lynx bus option as well.. looks like it would only be about $2 per way/per person. Yeah it's a public bus but that seems like the cheapest option.

We've used Mears all the time to get to Seaworld or US/IOA. As pp, just call the day before to make your reservations. They are usually very prompt in their pick ups. To get back to your resort, you call one to two hours before you want to leave, they tell you their return times and where to pick up the bus/van. Depending on the time of day, sometimes it is a coach bus instead of a van. You can pay for the RT ticket on your pick up in the morning. The pick up is in the front of your resort.

They do make additional stops at other resorts if needed. The stops are fairly quick but do add additional time onto your trip.

had breakfast at Kona (macadamia pancakes YUM!) then walked to TTC and caught the #50 Lynx bus for $2.00 each. The stop is around back of the kennel area. Any CM will point it out. Told the driver we were going to Seaworld & the bus stops right outside the parking lot.

On the return trip, we got off across the street from the Marketplace entrance to DTD, had dinner at WPE and strolled around for a few hrs.

A great day especially because I was able to get the SW tickets buy one, get one free!

Okay...that has just got to be about the most perfect day I can think of!!! Those pancakes are to die for.
I have used the Lynx bus to SW as well. It was very easy...just don't forget to let the driver know you want to go to SW!!! We forgot and it was a longish walk back to the parking lot by the time we realized our mistake!!!!

took DBr for a week to my happy place and he's the only one I've ever been able to get up early enough for Kona Breakfast! Dying to get those pancakes again.
