Has anyone recently used Mears shuttle to get to their hotel? Were there long lines to board? How long did you have to wait? Once you got on the bus, how many stops did you make? Would you do it again?

The last time I used Mears was in 2000. After using a towncar, I would NEVER go back to Mears.

My experience was sitting on the bus, waiting for it to fill up, and then being taken to 3 or 4 resorts before being taken to All Stars. It wasted a lot of time, and in my opinion, I would rather spend a little extra money to save the wasted time.

What's the estimate of time spent from the Airport to ASMu?

I've heard a lot of people say it took "a while", or "long", but what's the approximate time? Like an hour, hour and a half, two hours, more. What?

Thanks!!!

We stayed at POR last year and took Mears to get there. It took quite a long time, in my opinion.

We waited a half hour to even get on the bus. Then we had to load everyone and their luggage and then made a stop at the departure terminal to drop someone off. The trip on the bus itself took about a half hour to 45 minutes. Plus we got stuck in the back right next to the bathroom which didn't smell that great! We stopped at POFQ first and then POR. Total our trip probably took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours where if we had taken a taxi or town car it probably would have taken 1/2 hour to 45 minutes.

We will definitely take a town car next time. It's worth the extra money (and I don't even think it's that much more), especially when you have kids that are very eager to get there! :D

I will never use Mears again EXCEPT on solo trips where I don't mind the ride and how long it takes/etc. (My next solo trip I'm using Mears- but I know what to expect)

My experience was waiting about 20min (felt like longer) to board a "shuttle" (not the big bus for some reason) and then we were all pretty crowded on there. It took about an hour and 15min or so (and I'm not exaggerating) to get to my resort because there were a ton of stops and it seemed like the driver took the long way... honestly! It was late at night- my flight arrived on time at 11:19- I didn't get to the resort (ASMu) until 1:30am.

I would never do that with more than just myself (like the kids/etc.) but I will on solo trips -knowing fully what to expect.

We used Mears for our trip in Feb and will never use them again. It took us an hour and a half after getting to the pick-up area before they loaded the bus. It was crazy at the airport loading area fo rthis bus. People everywhere- no organization. They gave us a beeper and would page us when the bus was here for us- I think they forgot about us. When it did start to vibrate we went to the check in station and were told to wait some more. it was a big waste of time. The ride itself only took about 45 minutes to the All Star Music.
It certainly wasn't worth the $104 they charged for our little group roundtrip...For a private town car from FLtours, with a meet and greet at the baggage claim it would cost us less and be less stressfull.

Last month it took an hour and forty minutes from the time I got off the plane to my arrival at ASMo using Mears (this did include a long wait for my luggage to appear). For solo travel I will continue to use it b/c of cost. But with a larger group, I'm sure there are more economical and quicker ways to travel.

I guess I will be looking for a towncar agency to get us there. Thanks for all your help!!!!!
