Mears Shuttle to Universal???

Is the mears shuttle to Universal (from a Disney resort) something you have to book, or does it run on a scheduled time?

I'm pretty sure you need to book it. We checked on pricing with Mears to go from BCV to Sea World. Our hotel gave us a scheduling phone number that I called. Mears charges per person. We ended up using a taxi van and it was cheaper. The taxi was just a metered fee both ways, no pp fee. Our hotel quoted us an aprox. cost and it was exact.

Mears shuttle certainly is not the best transportation to Universal, unless you are a family of 1 or maybe 2. You will be better off: first, taking a taxi or second hiring a ftransportation company to pick you up.

Mears Shuttle is $16 pp RT kids 3 and under are free. A cab is 25 to 30 one way. If you have more than 3 paying, you should consider a cab or car service. A cab does offer you more flexiblity. Get them to quote you a MAXIMUM price so they don't take you for a metered extra long route. (They know how long it SHOULD take and how far it is.)

Mears Shuttle requires reservations the day prior. Call 407-423-5566 to make them if needed.

All you have to do is call Mears and report an extended ride and the driver will get creamed by Mears management. The telephone number to call is written all over the cab, along with the cab number. Drivers will not quote a maximum because they know an approximate. You really don't have to worry about it because you are able to take appropriate action if you think you are being taken.
