This is an excellent point. We have done this exact trek the past couple of times and it is a pain. We are going to use Uber next month. Not to mention, on our last visit, we waited over an hour to get on a shuttle from Mears. I am sure that is not the typical experience as it is by far the longest we have ever waited, but it was frustrating.SW pax have to claim their bags, go back up to level 3, schlep diagonally across the terminal then go down to level 1.
I'd pay the extra money for convenience and time. No checked luggage? Maybe Mears

Time is money.I'd go with Mears.
Just easier IMO.
And its like $33 round trip vs I'm not sure of the cost of an uber/lyft.
There were occasions when I used Mears, they put us in a van instead of a bus. There were just two families in the van. So we did not wait for very long and we didn't go to multiple resorts. I don't know if they still do this and it probably just depends on your luck. Uber is at least twice the cost of Mears for one person, so OP just needs to decide if the money is worth for the convenience of less wait.Time is money.
Mears you need to wait until they decide the shuttle is full enough to run and you can stop at multiple resorts before you get to yours, correct? Vs. Uber which would leave when you're loaded and take you right to your resort. That could save you as much as an hour. Unless Uber is $75+, I'd do it.
I've heard that about Mears (van vs bus), but don't think you can count on it. But yes, each person would need to decide if taking a longer trip is worth the lower cost. There were occasions when I used Mears, they put us in a van instead of a bus. Lyft is also a good option to consider. Cost between $30-$40 each way.Just wondering which would be a better option for 1 person since I don't have experience with either.
I am traveling from MCO to AoA. Thanks.
Agreed. We’ve taken taxis and the bus to our hotel and no idea if we’ve been lucky but we rarely wait longer than 10 minutes for the bus and tend to be one of the first stops. For us it works plus we’ve some extra cash left in our pockets. Keep in mind, we’re used to public transport although Mears is more comfy. It would appear from googling that the average uber from MCO to POLY (where I'm staying) is $47. So kind of a lot when you're only one person compared to Mears.
I get the time is money thing but to me taking Mears isn't a bad alternative.
