Mears connect ( Magical express replacement) prices

For the premium service, the $200 is round trip, or one-way? As long as it is round trip,, it's probably worth it for the extra $70 (as a family of four w/ two teens).

As I understand it's better for families that need car seats because the buses dont require them and it's tough to get an uber with carseat (s)

I wish they would add the Universal area resorts to their list! Their MCO to UOR shuttle can’t be booked with a room-only reservation at Royal Pacific, only with a package. I’d rather have a shuttle booked in advance than worry about rideshare and surge pricing.

Thanks! A lot of people have been waiting for, and speculating about, those prices.

It looks like they are not charging for children under 3 which is nice.

Pricing isn't too bad. IIRC when I used to take Mears back before DME existed it was about $25 RT.

What does a standard uber or lyft cost for three with just carry ons, so no need for an XL? I know it can vary a lot, but I've not taken a rideshare ever. I'm thinking I'll just ride the regular bus but the direct service is compelling for my 2022 trip as it might be the last that I'm not driving myself!

curious if prices jump after the 'express' officially ends
I bet it depends on how much booking they get ahead of January 1, 2022. They can always charge more for on demand travel or have a discount for those that book a certain amount ahead. The length of booking discounts would depend on when normal people tend to book flights for travel to WDW.

If no one uses this service, or not enough to make it pay for itself, I wonder what will happen.

With the Standard Service, has anyone heard or know how many stops, or how long the wait time(s) until you're at your Disney resort?
Thanks!

It depends if surge prices are in effect.
We paid 28 one way from pop at 430 am
You can check on the app, it has an estimator.
We have never had an issue getting a ride from the airport because drivers seem to hang out there, but from Disney we have had issues like this last early morning flight 2 drivers canceled before I got that one... I was was really nervous.
That's where mears would be good , they wont stand you up.

Edit : this includes the extra toll charge not sure what my DH tipped that was not included because he tipped in cash.

It hasn't started yet. Any statements of 'x # of stops' or '40 minutes from when you leave MCO' would just be statements based on Mears' plans and may not survive once things get started.

I don't know if this helps, but in July it cost me about $36 (before tip) from MCO to Kidani-just one person with one checked suitcase. Going back from GF to Southwest terminal (right next to curbside check in) was about the same price.

I'm wondering, will Mears connect have the same check-in location as Magical Express did? If they only have it in Terminal B (I think it was), it's very inconvenient for those of us who fly Southwest (and I don't know who else is in Terminal A)

I've been using the RideGuru app to check prices for my November Universal trip. It checks Uber, Lyft and taxis, including the different levels of rideshare vehicles, so I can compare them. I have reminders set to check at roughly the times I'll need to travel so that I can get an idea of whether surge pricing will be in effect, etc.

I always have Universal room only and have always been able to book the shuttle Every time.

Which resorts have you stayed at and when was the last time you did this? Just wondering before I call them, because the FAQ is quite specific about RP, HRH and PBH room-only not being eligible to book their shuttle.

Not worth it at all, at $200! Yikes. For $135 you can get a Towncar service RT! For a family of 4.
