Wow. That's just mean.:scared1:

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this. If you're uncomfortable with a response or post on the boards, you might want to consider hitting the little exclamation point sign underneath that DISer's name. It allows you to send a note to the moderators so they can look into the potential problem.

I can't find a post with that text in it, so perhaps the post was already removed or edited?

"throw away campground reservation" sounds like a fairly sensitive topic among the Ft. Wilderness fans...I think it refers to people making campground reservations to take advantage of on site perks, while actually staying off-site...

It's on the same idea as the pool-hopping, mug-reusing threads. It's a sensitive topic for some, and brings out very strong feelings to those who love the Fort. However, name-calling is never the answer.

Yup, that's the likely thread, but no post...either it was removed, or it was sent in a PM...

I got it in my e-mail, not a private message, so I guess it was a post. It really took me by surprise. You can be passionate about something , you can disagree about something, but you don't do a personal attack on someone on a message board. Your talking about throwing away a life for a 1 night reservation. Just wrong!

Sorry to hear this. You might want to consider changing your profile so you cannot be emailed. The only DISers who should have access to your email are the ones you willingly give it to.

Actually, I was reading that thread last night. It was a like a car crash - I just couldn't look away. :lmao: I was very surprised at how passionate campers could be. :confused3

Did you report them? What a wimp to send it in an email.

Any way should we really be talking about another thread/somthing someone said like this?

I have not given my e-mail to anyone. It came threw my e-mail as a reply to a post. I looked for the post and could not find it. So, here is my question. Can the person that made the post delete the post after it has been sent out to the people that subscribed to that post.:confused3

I believe that only a moderator can delete a post.

A person can edit the post, but there would still be a post by that person in the thread.

So it would seem that a moderator did something about it already.

Wow! Read the thread and...wow!!

Kevin, don't tell them your theory on making an ADR for 5 when there are only 4 in your group but no ADR availability! I don't think you would make it out alive! I have never seen a group so passionate about a campsite!!

wow what a thread.

Also don't mention the suggestion that when you are in the Bahama's at Atlantis on one of the Disney Cruises, to rent a room so you can use the pool for the afternoon.

:scared1:

I get emails on every post that is posted on a thread that I'm subscribed too. Last week on the ABD thread I got an email of a post that only two of us saw before it was removed. I only saw it because it was sent to me as an email.

OMG!!!! We had controversy on the ABD and I didn't know about it!!!! No fair - that is like putting a Krisy Kreme next to a Weight Watchers meeting :rolleyes1;):rotfl2::confused3
