Just back from our spontaneous trip to DLP (booked Weds went Saturday!).
It was fab and a complete surprise for our 7 year old twins. We needed a bit of de-stressing and it was fab and did the trick!
One disappointing event though - My fault I know but about half an hour after arriving in the Park, I went to the loo (the ones near the ice cream parlour & Pizzeria) and hung my camera on the back of the door (silver camera, silver door - you can see what's coming can't you?!). yes, I left the camera on the door & went back to meet my family. About 5 minutes later DH asked for the camera. Realising what I had done I ran back to the loo to find that camera had gone. Still, this is Disney I thought, someone will have handed it in. Wrong!! I filled out the form at City Hall I went back in twice a day but it never showed up!
I hope the person who took it felt some pang of guilt when they saw the pictures of my children dancing with Pluto in the Foyer of the New York (it was a digital camera). Ironically, it was the camera that we had had to buy on our last Disney Trip as the lens on the new one we had for that trip got broken!
I know that if I had been the person going into the loo and finding a camera I would have handed it in to a cast member - what bad luck for me it had to be a mean minded person with no Disney Spirit!
Feels better to have got it off my chest anyway!
