We went to all the parks and ate at several places. This is a run down of all the places we ate and what we thought about them:
We stayed at POFQ and ate at the food court a few times. There were seemingly only a few items to choose from but what was there was god. The steak sandwich was a highlight and was very good. We had pizza one night and it was okay. We ate breakfast several mornings in the food court and that was good as well. Food courts at the All Stars seemed to have more items to choose from than POFQ but like I said the choices all seemed to be good.
We went to Boatwrights our first night. Service was great. We were seated very quickly without a PS. The food was good. I had the steak and wife had the Prime Rib. Kids had chicken tenders. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Steak was tender and the prime rib was done to order. Good food but not outstanding.
We ate at Whispering Canyon the next day for lunch. The antics of the place caught my kids off guard at first. They really did not know what to expect. The look on their faces at first was pretty good. They are shy and it took them a bit to get into it. After that they were alright. The server could see that they were shy and tendered how he handled them and just how much he did with them accordingly. I had the fried chicken which was very good. One daughter had a hamburger and the other had chicken strips. Both ate well and indicated that the meal was good. I forgot what my wife had to eat but I do remember that she enjoyed it. We all returned to the Magic Kingdom stuffed.
We ate at Chef Mickeys the next night and the kids loved it. The food was excellent and the character interaction was the best we have had.
We did the Ice Cream Social at The Land and also ate at the food court there as well. Spaghetti, Parmesan Chicken and an Italian Sandwich were had there. They were all good. The Ice Cream Social was good and the character interaction was okay. We did the re-hitching ceremony and it was so so. My wife had no idea I had this planned and got up to use the bathroom just before the ceremony was to take place. When the servers showed up she was gone. This seemed to disrupt the whole thing and agravate the servers a little. They rushed things a bit when she got back and it was not nearly as special as I had hoped. We all laughed and took pictures. The kids got a big kick out of it.
We had a night meal PS for Ohanas one day and we thought this was the best meal we have had at WDW. The service was excellent and the kids had a wonderful time. There was plenty of food and it keeps coming. Our grilled meats were good. I had heard that many people did not like this place and advised that the meats were dry. Some skewers were. Overall, we found the meats and shrimp were done well and tasty. We will definitely do this one again.
We ate at Coral Reef one night and took in Illuminations. The Coarl Reef is one of our favorite restaurants and did not disappoint us this time either. I had the Grilled Mahi and it was excellent. My wife had the lobster and she loved it. The kids had the standard chicken strips. They had a great time watching the fish. They got little blue lit ice cubes in their drink and then ordered a make your own sundae which was delicious and a heck of a lot of fun for them to put together.
We ate at Teppenyaki in Epcot one night. This was and always has been an excellent place. The chef played with the kids and that kept them entertained. They also got to try different things here that they normally would not eat at any other time. The food was excellent and we all had a great time. I have never had a bad meal here.
We had a character breakfast at Crystal Palace. This was good character interaction but not as good as Chef Mickeys. The food as very good. The service was just okay.
We grabbed a quick meal at Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom. Burgers and fries for everyone. The service was horrible and the food was average.
We ate at le Chefs de France for lunch one day. This was a very good meal. The service was excellent. I had a beef filet that was very tender and tasty. My wife had the same. The kids got kid meals. This was a very good restaurant that I will return to again.
We had several counter service stops. All were standard Disney counter service with good quality for a quick meal but nothing special. Hamburgers and hot dogs etc.
I would be happy to answer any questions about any of these places. Thanks.
