Hi there. we are getting the meal plan. Its just easier for us. Not that its going to save us That much money.

When we went last time we did the same thing, and our five day plan had extra snack vouchers that are not included on the meal voucher list on DL website. Does anyone know if this is with every meal plan? I am trying to plan how much extra money we will need for food.

Thanks!!

How long will you be there? We got the 6 day plan for a 8 day trip and we didn't spend too much extra. I think it depends on where you eat and how much you eat. If you eat at Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans or do multiple character meals over the tickets you get, you could go through them pretty fast.

I heard you don't get change for meal vouchers. Is that true? That fact alone makes it seem like a bad bad bad idea.

That's right, you don't get change back. So if the meal cost 33.50, give them 30 in vouchers and 3.50 in cash. You can also use the snack vouchers towards a meal as well, it states the amount on them, I believe 6.50.

We've done it a couple of times. We never received vouchers that were not on the list. We wont use the plan again becuase of how long it takes them to enter all the info when you go to pay. It takes FOREVER. I would rather just buy a disney gift card to help with budgeting and prepaying. It makes things much easier.

really, we got some snack vouchers for $6.50 a bunch last time with the 5 day meal plan.

I just wanted to know if they came in all the booklets.

We have never had a problem with them taking long to enter in either. We loved the fact we didnt have to bring extra money. and our meals were done and paid for. I just hate having that cash on me, I always lose it or (ahem...overspend on other things. haha)

Can you get that on the Disneyland.com ?? I dont know. I am sure someone would be able to fill us in! That would be nice to have as well for dd so when its out its out for her fun stuff.

It looks to me that they have changed what vouchers you receive on the plan. There used to be "snack" vouchers, and I no longer see them on the list. They were previously listed for, I want to say, $5. But on the back they were worth a little more then that, I think they had a small amount added on for tax.

You can order a disneyland gift card from the disneyland.com site. You woud be able to use it for food or merchandise. I think I'm going to get them for my kids for Easter, and they can use them when we go. Plus I'll get one and load it up with mney we can use for food. It will help us prepay and budget, but we wont have to just use it for food in the park.

You don't have to bother with buying the Disney giftcards at disneyland.com. Just walk into the first DLR giftshop when you get there (or World of Disney in DTD, or probably the DLR hotel giftshops). Save the money as you go and earn some interest on it, then before you go to buy the giftcards call your bank, make a transfer (OK that might not work for all banks, but it does for mine), buy the giftcard.

I also like having the cards themselves for souvenirs (though they are re-loadable), so during our trip in December I bought one each day. :upsidedow Split up the budget that way.

And then if you overbudgeted, you can take them home and use them for future trips, trips to WDW, on a Disney cruise if you go on one of them, or even just use them at disneyshopping.com for those souvenirs you couldn't bring yourself to buy while there (like some Ratatouille toys we saw in December).

Yeah when we book back in May for our Nov trip last year, they didn't show the snack vouchers listed with the meal plans. But when we got them in the mail there were a bunch of them for $6.50.

anyone do this lately? Do you think that the CM's would know if I called?
