Meal Vouchers for Children

I have joined Hotwire savings club and am planning to purchase some vouchers for our trip, including a few of the VKL vouchers to eat at Rainforest for dinner one night, a nice lunch one day. My question is whether I should buy a child's voucher for a 7 year old---is the child's voucher a good deal?

I purchased vouchers for us (DH, DD11, DD8 and myself). This was our thinking.

We have a car and dont plan on eating there all the time. So we bought just the Q & C vouchers. We bought 2 for each day we are going to be there and thought that the kids could split meals with the adults. I've heard of people doing that at Beaches and Cream or Peco Bills, Cosmic Rays, etc. We will use these to "Tide us over" until we can eat somewhere cheaper and more substantial.

We used kids vkl vouchers this May.

At AK RFC kids could order adult appetizer, dessert, big icee drink and even an adult meal. They were the most generous restaurant. Server was very helpful and we left an additional $40.00 for the 9 of us. He seemed surprised and came back to thank us.

Kona -could only order kid meal, no appetizer, no frozen drink.
Think they could have had dessert.

Le Cellier, kids meal only but let them order Northern light- soda with a lighted ice cube- usually also with a scoop of ice cream.
Grilled all beef hot dog was too tough for 3 year old to eat.Kids had sorbet for dessert.

Other places I don't know if it would be worth using a kids voucher. Kids meals were usually pretty inexpensive.

Thank you, that's very helpful! Sounds like we will get her a VKL for our RF dinner, but not for the others, and then just get some Quick & Casual vouchers to use too.

Is it always a dessert and appetizer and icee drink at RFC or is it hit or miss. We got some child vouchers before and weren't able to get a "child appetizer" since they didn't sell them. Do you get the child Stitch drink at 50's Prime Time as well??????? That might make it worth it.
