Meal times...

I read on another thread that you can expect a TS meal (non buffet) to take about 2 hours. I know it depends on a lot of variables, but I'm going the second week of Nov. and my ADRs are all within 1/2 hour of starting meal time (ie dinner at restaurant starts at 4:30, my ADR somewhere between 4:30 and 5:00) - will they really take 2 hours? My biggest concern is for 50's Prime Time - my ADR is at 4:15 and Fantasmic is at 7:00 - if dinner takes 2 hours I don't get out until 6:15 and wonder I if I could get a decent seat at that time...maybe I'm thinking too much...any thoughts? Should I change my ADR to lunch time because the earliest I could get it for dinner is 4:00...again, maybe thinking too much...sorry...

2 hours seems a bit long for a non character meal. I guess if you do appetizers, main course, and dessert and you savor everything then yes, but I don't think it HAS to be 2 hours. I would think mayyyybe an hour an a half, and if you tell your server your worried about time constraints they're usually very accomidating.

Also with going in early Nov. you'll have less crowds to deal with so you should be able to do more in less time. Obviously that doesn't guarentee you'll get seats at 6:15 without a problem but I'd think it'd be easier then in July when everyone is there. I know when we were there in Dec. we managed to walk into Fantasmic at about 30 mins prior with no problems. Honestly, I'd just kind of play it by ear. If things seem to be going on longer then you had planned then you can always change your ADRs while your in Disney. But I wouldn't get too worked up about it at this point. It's a vacation so relax. Disney doesn't change much from year to year, so if you don't see everything on this trip it's an excuse to come back again.
