I'm trying to plan out our meals...last year we went w/out ADRs (our DD was only 1 y.o. at the time and we didn't want to be locked into any schedules) and it was SO tough. Dining w/out ADRs are a big no-no...the waits are super long!
This time around, I want to be prepared. We already have an ADR to Donald's Safari Breakfast. I'm torn between O'Hana's Best Friend Breakfast or H&V's JoJo's Circus & Little Einstein's Breakfast. I think the family style buffets are a wonderful idea, so I'm leaning toward O'hana...but DH & I love the food at H&V...then I thought about doing the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg...choices choices choices!

Any suggestions; good or bag points? :confused3

I will be going in Sept with my son who will be almost 2. I am planning ADRS and am mostly looking at Buffet / Family style character meals as that would offer the best choices of food for my son. Plus these restaurants tend to be louder and more active and will help keep my sons attention or if he's noisey it won't bother other customers.

Whispering Canyon in Wilderness Lodge is wonderful. I think dinner is the most fun and active. You can order ala carte or they have a family style skillet with ribs and pulled pork and BBQ chicken. I really like it plus the WL is a beautiful hotel. You can go there on a MK day since there's a boat that takes you from MK to WL.

My sister recommends Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. She went there for dinner and really enjoyed it. It's a character meal and again it's family style - turkey, ham, roast beef and all the trimmings. They also have a character lunch.

I'm planning on H&V character breakfast simply because my son loves Playhouse Disney and the Little Einsteins.

Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time may also be good places in DH - again there's alot of activity and fun things to keep your DD interested. These are not buffet or family style.

Fantasmic is a great show - not sure if the fireworks will be too loud for your daughter plus it's in the evening. If you do the diner / Fantasmic plan - I like Mama Melrose, but that may not be the best for your dauther (I'll probably skip it this year with DS).

I've also been reading alot of good things about Ohanas at Poly. on these boards. I like the dinner menu.

You know your daughter best and what type of eater she is. Since children under 3 can share your meal for free, I figure the buffets and family style will work best. Plus as I said they're noisey and active and fun and at this stage that describes my son at meal time!

I suggest you go to allearsnet.com - they list menus for all the restaurants and you can decide which will be best for your family.

Good Luck

We did both O'Hana's Best Friend Breakfast and H&V's JoJo's Circus & Little Einstein's, but for lunch, in August and absolutely loved both.

Ohanas has a cute parade for the kids with the characters. H&V has the characters sing and dance with the kids. They were both really fun and my kids loved them - ages 5 and 3 at the time.

I know this doesn't help make your decision, but I don't think you could go wrong with either one!

We have done both of them and they are great for that age group. What characters will your DD enjoy the most? The advantage with O'hana's is it's family style so they being it to your table instead of you having to go get it.

Friends of mine took their 2 year old granddaughter to Garden Grill their last trip and said it was perfect.

I would suggest the Winnie the Pooh character meal at Crystal Palace. We went for breakfast and it was great. Great food variety, character interaction was terrific, and they do a very cute "Pooh-rade" for the kids.

Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern is also a great choice. This is a family style meal. Again, characters were great. Food was basic Thanksgiving food and we liked it alot.

I think those would be terrific for someone her age. Does she have a special love for a specific character or movie? If so, let us know because there might be a character meal that includes them and that would likely be most enjoyable for her.:)

Don't forget Chef Mickey's! You can do either breakfast or dinner! We're planning on both when we go in Oct. Our DS will be 28 mos. at the time.

Thanks for all the suggestions! She loves all the characters, that's why it's so much harder to choose. We're not there for many days, so planning these meals are tough because I want to cram so many in, but don't want to over do it. Well, tomorrow, I'm going to call and see what we can get, at this point, we're booking pretty late in the game...it's only about 2 months away, I may not even get ANY other ADRs at this point! Eek.

Thanks for the menu link, Wendybird55, I will definitely check it out.
