I used the meal plans the last time we went in Aug of 06.

It worked out because I had 4 teens with me and I just gave them there booklets and let them explore the park on there own. We would meet up for dinner in the evenings. They had no desire to hang out with me and a 4 yo.

Our hotel had contenital breakfast so that helped too.

I am just wondering if this time I should skip the meal plans. It will only be me and a 6yo. I did like that most of my food budget was paid up front.

I will be looking for a hotel with the breakfast again, that for me anyways saves some cash.

It depends. How long will you be there. We decided not to do them this trip because we will only be there 3 days and now have our annual passes for discounts.

The meal plan is not a very good. You can actually lose money on it. We like having everything paid up front too. So for the past three trips we've been buying Disney Dollars and Gift cards to pre purchase our meals. They take them anywhere, then we can use our AAA at the places where it's accepted!

I will be there for 4 days, but I was going to get the 5 day meal plan. It also includes Goofy's Diner and a character breakfast.

Disney dollars might be a good way too go. And we do have a AAA membership.

Thay took AAA at Goofy's which was great. A I recall, they also took it a Minnie's and Ariel's
