Meal plan question

We are going to be going to dlrp just before Christmas for a 4 night 5 day break and for the first time we will be adding a half board meal plan but since we will be arriving at around 10pm on the first day we will not be using that days meal plan voucher so my question is can the voucher be carried over to another day or is it dated for just one day?
As I say we have never opted for a meal plan at dlrp before so I'm not to sure on how it all works but I know in Orlando you can carry it all over if you don't use it on each day.

yes, the vouchers are able to be used on any days of your stay, you are not restricted to using one voucher per day.

They are restrictive though, you might find it easier just to put the money you would have paid for half board onto a pre-pay travelcard and then use that for your meals at DLP.

Thanks hun,that's good to hear,I didn't really want to lose a days food!!! Lol
We have been quoted £208 for 3 of us for 5 days which I didn't think was that bad to be honest as we normally eat at plaza gardens anyway so would be going there a few times to make the most of the buffet.

At DLP you get a voucher per night booked, so that would be 4 vouchers each you would get.

Oh right so that actually means that we will get the exact amount needed then.
I have just looked at the prices and if they are correct then for 3 of us to eat at plaza gardens it will cost us just under £70 yet if you divide the meal plan into the 4 days then it's only £52 so its a fair saving each day.
Not that we are planing on eating at plaza gardens each day but will probably go at least twice and with the amount of food you are faced with there you don't want to eat anything else for the rest of the day!!!

are you all adults? the adult price with unlimited drinks at the Plaza Gardens is only 27 euros isn't it (I'm not sure if this option is covered by the standard vouchers, it might be the 23 euros option), and 13 euros per child. So if you are 2 adults and one child, thats around 59 euros, which is around £51 at current exchange rates?

Yes we are 2 adults and 1 child so 27 for each adult and 13 for a child is 67 for the unlimited drinks option but i think it is with one drink so not sure?

It says that the vouchers each have a face value printed on the front of them so if your menu option is more than the face value then you just pay the difference.
Does anyone know what the amount on the vouchers is??

at the moment (i just did a dummy booking on the French version to work it out) adult vouchers are 26 euros cash value, childs vouchers are 13 euros cash value .

Oooh excellent so that means they near enough cover the unlimited drinks option with just £1 to pay.

I'm pretty sure drinks are included with the standard vouchers.
Had them in 2010 and don't recall paying extra for drinks.

Just double checked the dlp brochure and it says:
For all HB options the voucher covers an all you can eat buffet, or a set menu at table service restaurants and a soft drink

Thanks Jill,I have gone over it all now loads of times ,going through all the prices and different menus and due to some of the people we are taking with us we have decided that the meal plan is probably not such a great idea as realistically we will not want that much food every day so it would most likely be a waste.
And besides that there is no way I want to be so full up from a huge buffet dinner that I miss my beloved evening earl of sandwich!!! Lol
