Hi

My Sister is after a place at WDW to have her 40th Birthday Dinner with her DH and 2 kids (DD14 and DS10).

Somewhere fun with a good variety of food.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I suggest Chef Mickeys for fun and food...all of the characters...birthday songs and treats and the magic never dies!

Is she looking for a buffet style meal or one where the food is brought to you and you choose from a menu?

Will she be happy to pay extra for a really special meal or she just looking for somewhere fun with lots of atmosphere, doesn't mind a bit of noise?

There are so many different types of dining experiences at WDW if you could give a little more information it will be easier to make recommendations :)

I celebrated my 40th at the 'Hollywood and Vine' with Minnie, Mickey, Pluto etc before they stopped the buffet

So....I say go for 'Chef Mickeys'.............. :thumbsup2

I had mine at the crystal palace in MK with Pooh and friends. They made a real fuss they sprinkled glittery micky ears and streamers on the table, gave me a cake with a candle in it and a birthday card and then sang happy birthday to me. the food was good as well.

Prob a sit down meal where the food is brought to you.
She would be happy to pay a little more than usual as it's a special birthday.

Thanks
Karen

I would say the California Grill might be just the thing :)

I have never been there myself but most people rave about it :thumbsup2

I highly recommend the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, Le Cellier in Epcot and the Brown Derby at MGM for the food, service and surroundings :)

We thought the CG grossly over-rated. It was ok food, but the restaurant was extremely loud with so much noise we could barely hear eachother speak.

I would recommend Jikos at AKL. The food and surroundings are far superior to CG.

You said your sister was looking for somewhere "fun with good food". Well, if it was me, I'd love to celebrate a birthday at the Whispering Canyon Cafe for a fun over-the-top, put-you-in-the-spotlight meal :sunny: I wouldn't say the food is top notch, but it's good and plentiful (check out the menu )

However, if your sister doesn't want that much attention, just a special meal, any of the WDW restaurants will make it special for her if you let them know in advance that you're celebrating.
