We are going to Universal and IOA next week. If we pick just one day to purchase the meal deal for, which park has the best food options?? Thanks. Any comments on this meal deal are welcome too.

We just got back from a trip to Disney and Universal. We tried the Meal Deal for one day, but it really wasnt worth it. The food selection was okay and differed in some respects at each restaurant. However, the lines were sooo long, even eating early, that it took too much of our ride time. Also, I found you really need to eat three meals in the park to make it worthwhile. Omitting the dessert, which we never usually get, you come out cheaper just purchasing your entrees on own. Also, we didnt get the sipper cup with the meal deal, just bought the park refillable cup for $1.49 (AAA discount) and refilled anywhere in the park. The AAA discount is 10% and available almost everywhere in the park. So use it like crazy! I will be submitting a trip report later this week.

we had 7 adults (plus 2 11 yr olds buying adult tix) WE thought it was way worth it. but then the lines were not really that long. but if you didn't have the meal deal you still had to stand in line if you wanted to buy something.
IF you buy the 2 park deal with citiwalk dinner, remember the meals you get
FREE there are about $14 worth! (plus they honor the refills for your drink cup)

there was plenty of choices at the places to eat, just plan your time to eat & don't go when everyone likes lunch at NOON!! at international Food, they have huge fruit salads! ( if you carry bags with you its nice to take a few plastic containers to eat the remains later!) the desserts did not have that much variety. but at most places we passed where we did not have to wait in line, we usually grabbed cookies., which were right AT the registers. so we didn't have to go throught the line. the cookies are a great thing for munchies later. our 1st meal at international food was easily worth close to $10.00 each. I would have liked to try Louies! it was way nice NOT to worry about $$ pricing!

ALSO..... IF you have picky eaters.. if they don't like what they get ,, it won't bother you if they throw it out & then get something else! no waste of food $$:woohoo: (& for those kids that buy a $8.00 hamburger & then take ONLY 1 bite,,,, you won't have to grumble)
